As technology advances more and more people use smartphones. I think it would be a really smart idea if the Mineverse staff developed a mobile application for Mineverse forums. The main reason for this idea is that if I put my phone to sleep I won't get an alert until I go back onto the forums. Although I do get emails from Mineverse which does alert me, but that loads my mailbox full of just dead emails. The application could send an alert to your home screen when idle and the user would know to look. Along that note, that would give the staff a quicker and reliable notification when someone posts and the staff member wouldn't have to be next to their computer to view it. Maybe this is a terrible idea, maybe it's not. This is just an idea. Lastly, the application wouldn't have to be limited to just forums. Technology can do amazing things! Have a good day everyone!
There are applications out there that can be added to XenForo. TappaTalk is one I know of. It is in place on ther server I currently work for. Personally, I dislike it but I'm old and like not getting notifications. lol
Moving to suggestions. We used to have TappaTalk for Skyblock before so I don't think it would hurt having it here.
I support, but you can use the internet on your phone to get onto the forums, right? I mean that's what I do sometimes.
You can still check the internet for it though... I get your idea, but to be honest I don't really like it when my phone buzzes all night long with the apps I have now. Don't get me wrong this is a nice idea and I support it for now, but that's my thoughts on it.
I get that. But you can turn off notifications at night. Easy fix. But I see where you are coming from.
