Lack of Moderation

I have noticed that there are only 24 mods, and about 15 or so game modes on Mineverse. In the night and the afternoon (for the US) There are 1500+ people on the server, and there are barely ever any mods online. Most game modes have constant spamming, swearing, flame wars, and bullying occurring within the server, and this is not really acceptable. TBH, most of the time, the mods are usually on the forums when the mods could be moderating on the actual server like most mods on other servers would.
There also needs to be more mods, and if Cyp or Crew is reading this, I would recommend recruit people who actually play a lot in the game, instead of spend 80% of their time on the forums. I know the forums are important, but being on the server is just as important, and I need the mods to realise that, because I almost can't stand what people say on the server sometimes. Having a mod to supervise would be so much of a benefit for the server...

 

Exactly, the whole time I'm on there is no mods, it would be great to have Cyp promote a lot more...

This happens with all servers, the "we have lives, we're not robots" excuse is getting old and quite frankly it's bulls*** since you shouldn't have applied if you didn't have an open schedule. What I will tell you is that people can't all be on, no matter how many Mods you have there's always going to be times when they are offline.

I'm not accusing the mods of being lazy although it may seem like that, I just want cyp to recruit more mods so that there is more moderation occurring, perhaps some players who actually play a lot, and would enjoy moderating and playing at the same time.

Not to be rude, but maybe you could actually say why you disagree, and give us your point of view.

Debate* not flame war, I want to just get my opinion out there. I'm always making suggestions to improve the server, but everyone seems to think the server is fine in the same soil.

 

I don't know why people get so riled up about this, are you all really offended by these threads, do you really need to 'protect' the mods. Heck, we are not even saying the mods are doing a bad job (unless you assume we are implying that :/) we just want more of them to cover the various time zones.

 

I can see where you guys come from. I don't know a ton about inactivity on the larger servers, speaking because I play hellblock. Which has 0 mods on. But no mods are often on the other servers I play. I feel on this may be affecting it is the time zones. It seems a lot of the mods are on a European time zone (from what I see). So maybe when staff is promoted look more into the time zones. I do have to say, you can not always expect a moderator on.
