Problem: When players buy spawners for skyblock or any other server to use, once they are placed, there they will stay. I have gotten into countless issues where people will place their spawner in the wrong location. It becomes very stressful when you payed for an item you have no control over moving. Solution: Install the plugin Silkspawners! I have used it on my servers and its completely legit. It was very helpful and made me happy to see my players enjoy the freedom of moving their spawners.
I went on and did /pl. It was not on skyblock which is my main concern. Ive also heard a few complaints on factions, so Im not 100% sure about that.
It's not on a small amount of the servers for a reason. It's understandable if you wish to have the ability to move an item you paid so much for, but I don't play skyblock, nor do I know how it functions. Leaving your island behind means leaving behind most of the rares on it, meaning a placed spawner was your choice. It's obviously considered, but doubted with the glitches involved with the plugin (yes, there are some, and yes, we're aware of the plugin, it's been used for over a year and a half).
Hahaha, I have not left my island. But I have accidentally placed a spawner in the wrong place. Once that happens, I had to cope with it, but it still annoys me to this day. I have also made this suggest just for skyblock.
Support! I had to destroy 4 spawners in my shop cause they were spawning too many pigs. Before the 1.8 update they were no problem but after the update the pigs were piling up since no one could kill them but me.
We've used this plugin before on another one of Crew's servers. Unfortunately it led to players stealing others spawners. I doubt we'll use it again anytime soon, unless we can find a reasonable fix for this.
I am very objective about this statement unfortunately. As I see where you are coming from, with players having their spawners stolen. There are still plenty of reasons to add this plugin though. Point #1 If there is a spawner on a players island, it is the owners job to invite people they trust. If they invite a thief, it is ultimately their fault if the guy breaks it. The solution is, don't invite people that are suspicious and that you don't trust. As of me and quite a lot of other top skyblock players, we have lots at least 60 dollars breaking misplaced spawners. I don't think its fair to cut out the people who dedicate the most time to skyblock. The minority gets their spawners stolen from a thief, not any of the servers business. Its your job to be your islands guardian. This statement can come across as invalid because if you really add a subhuman to your island, they can destoy the spawner with no trace of it ever coming back. Its better for the spawner to still be in existence then to the opposite inexistent. Point #2 This can be eaily solved with the right plugin manufacturing. There are some bukkit plugins that protect blocks placed by that specific player while no one else can touch it. You guys should really look into it.
