If this is in the wrong section may a mod please correct its home location. I was not sure if it should have went under help, discussion or even report. With the recent updates of servers to 1.8 many players know of the troubles that have been coming along with them. Many players in both creative and op prison have lost access to their plots in various happenstances. Although /p dispose and /p claim works for most, there are a few exceptions to that work around. Today I helped Gonzo309 locate his plot due to his inability to /p h to it. The reason being, someone somehow managed to take it from him without him ever disposing it. Thus losing all chests and items along with it. Both him and I are 100% positive that the plot is owned by him seeing that I recently helped him move all his stuff to my plot so he could restart a build on his. The player in question as to how the plot was stolen is justinogre. In the following video below I show not only gonzo's stolen plot, but justinorge's own personal and original plot, and also 30/54 numerous others he has somehow managed to seize for his own use.
everyone's plots are still there but they diposed them so everyone's like "i'll give u 200 bil for finding my plot!"
I'll re-say what I said ingame : "You still own the plot - You just can't TP to it. I am currently at my plot, and can verify that " Once the /p h gets sorted out, it'll be dandy. Nothing was lost, other than temp access to tp to your plot..
Yes everything you stated is true but it goes beyond that. For whatever reason certain plots are subject to be claimed by other players. I myself even managed to claim an unused plot that a player owned right next to /warp plots but immediately disposed myself of it because it was not mine to take (it was automatically given back to the original owner). This player probably hasn't been on since OP Prisons release but there I was standing in his/her plot with my name on it.
This happened to me, but the user wasn't nice enough to return it. I've spent all day building a new plot. I'm widely aware.. That only happens if the player did /plotme dispose, or the plot expired.
The expiring makes sense now that you mention it. But I don't understand why I was only able to claim the one plot near the /warp plots. Chances are at least one other would have been expired don't you think? My knowledge about whatever plug-ins they are using is very limited I'm afraid.
