I was thinking about making a moderator application, but I need to know a few things. 1) Is there a list saying how long to ban/mute someone for doing an action? 2) I've always seen mods close a thread and say something, is it programmed to automatically say this (sounds robotic, if you ask me)? 3) How long do mods have to be active on forums? 4) How long do mods have to be active in game? ^Just to clarify, I mean a percentage, like 50/50 of your time^
1: Ban is permanently if they make ddos threats, harrass someone or hack. 2: You can manually lock and archive it, but there is multimods to make it easier. 3: 2-3 hours or something, I don't know. 4: The amount of time that you said on your moderator application.
Thanks, but I clarified that I meant percentage so do you have to spend the same amount of times in game as on forums, or do you just keep your minecraft and forum tab open at the same time?
You don't neccisarily have to be as active on both but it is good if you are just as active in-game and on the forums.
1) A warning is given when a player break a rule. Such as spamming, harassing players, and spamming. However if they are hacking or threaten to hack a player, that is a ban instantly. Usually about 3 warning before a mute. If they continue ban them. If in any way they disrepsect you, depending on how bad it is, it can be a mute or ban. Those are global punishments. This doesn't include the specific rules in certain game mode. Like prison, or infection. Also there are forums rules too off course. If you get mod, we will explain all that to you, don't worry. 2) There's no robots that will close your application. Mods only close or lock your application if you request it. Also gravedig doesn't apply to mod apps, and you can bump it daily 3) All mods state they have "X" amount of time on forums. However sometimes life doesn't go the way we wanted to. If you have IRL issues, you can take care of those. However staying active is not how many hours you go on forums. It's about you doing your job, helping players both in game and on forums, doing reports, ect. 4) There's no maximum or minimum amount of time you should be in game. Obviously you have to stay active, and be in game. Like I stated before, our agenda change in times. If you can get in game, then go ahead. Whenever you have time just get in game. Help players out.
#1 isn't true at all. If they can manipulate the staff into thinking they meant something else, their ban gets instantly lifted. :/
