Do you have enough space on your pc? try to clean it up, that might clear some more space

      Get a host.

And if you don't get a host, try to get a computer with lots of space and RAM.

Buying a new computer with lots of RAM isn't necessary for just a Minecraft server...

You can choose the amount of memory for the server. It comes default with 1014MB (1GB) or 2048MB (2GB). You can increase, or decrease, the servers memory. I recommend using Bukkit for your server. You can add plugins and you have a larger variety of commands. It is also easier to control the server settings using the properties file included.

so ur suggestion is pointless as your just telling him not to do anything.

Anyways For your server depending on how many players you normally have playing if its 2-4 2gb of ram should be fine for vanilla. if its 5-10 3gb should be fine as long as your not building to far out from each other. Also try connecting your computer to your router via ethernet cable as that will take away any wireless problems and may potentially speed it up. Thats all I can think of for vanilla.
