How old are you? I am 19 Years old. Your in-game name: Jonesey654321 What timezone are you in? Greenwich Mean Time, GMT What country do you live in? England, London What languages do you speak? I am fluent at speaking English, and I can speak reasonable French and Spanish, I can also speak a little bit of Italian but not much. Why do you think you should become a mod? In my opinion I think that I would be a great moderator because; I am honest - I am vey honest and I rarely tell any lies or fibs to anyone, player or mods alike. I am Reliable - When players who are new come on the server and ask questions I try and help out as much as I can as I am very helpful, if there is something which I can't help them with then I will ask others and then relay the help back to the new people. I am on every day which is good because it shows people that there are mods who actually do their jobs which at the moment in my opinion isn't happening as I rarely see any moderators on servers any more. I am fair and just - if I see someone hacking or have evidence that someone is hacking then I will ban them, I will not abuse any of my powers to aid players or alts. I am vey punctual and grammatical so that I don't write in abbreviations and spell using proper English. Also I have a very good grasp on how to moderate as I have been mod on many servers before and admin, I am also currently co-owner of a server and admin on another server which has just come out of beta and people are enjoying themselves. How long can you be active on the server everyday? Weekdays I can be online for about 5-6 hours each day, On the weekends I can play for most of the day. How long have you been playing Mineverse? I have been playing Mineverse for just under a year now and I feel that I have a very firm grasp on how things operate. It has been a privilege to have the opportunity to play on this amazing server and I hope that I can continue in a new position or authority which means that I will be able to help new players out more. Have you ever been banned in the past? I have been banned in the past for hacks, but then that got cleared and turned out it was a mistake. Do you have any past experience as a moderator? Yes, I have been moderator on about 7 servers in the past which were very successful before the owners decided to shut down. I am currently admin on a server which has just come out of beta and all the players are enjoying themselves a lot. Whenever I had a tough experience as a moderator on other servers I always had help from other staff in making tough decisions to make sure that I got it right, on the few odd occasions that there was nobody around I had to use my best judgement to try and diffuse the situation and I used my best decisions and diplomatic skills to calm down everyone involved and sorted it out swiftly. Which two servers would you like to moderate? (Recommended pick the two servers you play the most) The servers which I would like to moderate are Kitpvp and Factions; Kitpvp - I would like to be mod on kitpvp as it is the server which I play on most as I find it enjoyable but full of hackers which I would like to help reduce as I would be on most of the time to catch them and ban them. I think this would be good as it shows the players that there are active mods and that they do come on which isn't the impression that is going on at the moment. Factions - Next to kitpvp this is the server that I play most and I find that there are people on there which also hack on but nothing gets done because there are rarely any mods on to do anything about it. Thank You for reading my app and hope you like it and consider it as a worthy app. Jones
Greetings! I wanted to provide some feedback on your application. I would first, encourage rereading your application. There are a few sentence/grammar mistakes and one or two word errors such as "bee" instead of "been". Aside from that, the base level of content looks good. I would definitely encourage expanding on the various sections, specifically the "Why do you think you should be a moderator?" and "Do you have any past moderator experience?" In the above two sections, it may be beneficial to cover some traits or life experiences that would help prove to the community that you are ready and able to fulfill this position. Unfortunately the current application process can rely heavily on players who may never have interacted with you, so you need to do your best to convince them with a professional and thoughtful application. As to the Moderator experiences, perhaps some details on tough situations you found yourself placed in, and the ways you resolved them. Perhaps explain how you have changed over the course of your time as a staff member and any self-improvement you may have made showing maturation over time. My biggest "concern" with your application is you list that you are an admin on another server. I know how time intensive that can be, especially during a "go-live" with various bugs/issues that arise. You may want to ensure you have enough time to satisfy your duties as an admin on your other server, and as a Moderator over here. It is not fair to the community of either server for you to be stretched too thin on time. The last piece of feedback is in regards to formatting. Unfortunately you application was a bit tough to read as there were no obvious sections or lists. You may want to take a look at some of the higher rated applications for ideas on formatting, then adjust yours a bit. Refraining from any vote of support/no-support and look forward to your updates! Cheers, Melgrath
Thank you for your advice. I will get to work on it immediately. Also I usually play on the admin server during my night time so it doesn't conflict with this server times at all.
Yeah at the time when my friend gave me the account I had no idea that it was a public hacked account. Also I forgot my other 2 forums accounts passwords and I needed a new name for an account and that just popped into my mind. Don't mistake me for that hacker though.
While the formatting is a bit better, unfortunately some of the color choices are difficult to read. Specifically the light blue is kind of tough on the eyes, but as an old man, it could be that as well. Don't be afraid to use bold, underline, or italics in order to denote separate sections. Sometimes those simple visual queues are more meaningful than a change of color. You may also be cautious of font size as many players on the forums seem to not enjoy fonts much larger than the standard, but this is really a personal preference. A snippet from another application, looked something like this. How old are you? <age> Your in-game name: <name> What timezone are you in? <timezone> Not saying you need to take formatting from another application or anything, each person's should be unique, but sometimes defining those sections easily visually can make a huge difference. Props on the quick modifications and taking feedback to hear. Cheers, Melgrath
Well you have only 19 messages which shows you don't know a lot of people so make some friends, comment on the discussions, be more out there
I agree with you but the 19 messages are just on this account. I have had 2 previous accounts which I have lost.
