So recently alot of players have noticed that some of the guards have full mod access on the forums. I believe this can lead to major problems as those perms are meant for mods and not guards. What i'm suggesting is Guards only have perms for Prison related stuff not full forums. Especially since some of the power is getting to their heads.
Like I said, we were given forum perms for a reason, to help out. If Cyo didn't want to give us perms he wouldt've.
Although the helping out you guys give is not always good the ability to lock threads as you guys are guards and not mods and may not know all the rules. there have been quite a few theads closed by guards that shouldn't have as they weren't requested neco posted or breaking arule.
"May not know all the rules" We were promoted with the knowledge that we did. And please link those "quite a few threads". I for one would love to see them.
Guards are like mods they get trained on prison then sooner or later they get mod I don't see why they shouldn't have perms on forums because they use their guard experience to train them to become a mod.
they shouldn't have them right away I dont mind them working into the perms but having full access right away is a bit scary.
If they break the rules they get punished or demoted so it's not scary it's just them training and learning
Hmm. This is honestly tough. I think that more staff members helps the forums run smoothly, however, Guards are for Prison only, so full access to every bit of the forums perms doesn't make a lot of sense. Especially with some of the decisions being made recently by guards, I support a separate set of perms.
Mods moderate one or two servers, guards moderate a server. Pretty much the same thing, lol. Either way, treat staff as staff, it's not up to you to micromanage the staff team. Also, power doesn't just go to guard heads only.
lol. Last time I checked, Guards have different permissions. Guards may lock threads they find suitable to lock. If deemed inappropriate, another staff would simply unlock it and warn the other staff member. I see no point to this suggestion, thus I do not support.
