Welcome to GizzBots Application. -=- Preface -=- Hi everyone, it has taken a lot of effort writing this app, and a lot of courage posting this. I've watched others and how they've been judged on their apps, and I'm hoping that I'll be looked on more positively then negatively. I'd like to thank everyone who looks at this app, reads this app, and more importantly posts their opinion/view on this app. I appreciate all support, but I will also strive to improve on the parts pointed out by others. Edit: After having this closed, I have had a while to prove myself to the community that I am more mature then thought of as. I believe that I have the potential to be mod, and even though during my time I have had a few 'hiccups' along the way, I hope that that will not decrease my chance of improving the server. If you would like to know more about me, it can be found here: http://www.mineverse.com/threads/gizzbots-intro.36714/ -=- How old are you? -=- I am 15 years old. -=- In game name? -=- My in-game name is GizzBots. -=- What Timezone? -=- I am in the Australian Timezone, GMT+10. -=- Where do you live? -=- I live in Australia. -=- What languages do you speak? -=- I speak English, although I can address myself and speak small talk in Japanese as I study it as an elective at school. -=- Why should I be mod? -=- I think that I should become mod because I strongly believe that I possess the qualities needed to become mod. Here are some qualities I believe that I possess, and qualities that I think a moderator values and needs. -=- Empathy -=- By definition, Empathy is said to be the ability to understand and share the feelings of another. A moderator needs this to understand the position or the challenge that a player maybe facing. With this said, I believe I show empathy on Mineverse, and I embrace it as a key attribute of how I act on Mineverse. -=- Honesty -=- Obviously a moderator needs to be trusted by their peers, being the players, as well as other staff and as a whole, the community. I have been raised in a poorer family, and I've learnt the hard yards. My mum has always said to me that I need to be honest to get far in life, and I embrace that as well. Honesty is the core essential attribute that I think everyone needs. I physically cannot tell a lie unless it is for the benefit of majority. Having the inability to tell a lie will help me be a strong and loyal moderator in the Mineverse Community. -=- Loyalty -=- This is an attribute that is evident to becoming a moderator on Mineverse. I have displayed this attribute in the way that I am punctual to being on the forums everyday without doubt. I appreciate the server and the work that has been put into it, and with that being said, I give my word that I am loyal to it. -=- Professional -=- One might say that being 'professional' is not a major factor of being a moderator on Mineverse. A strong part of seeming Professional is your look in the community. This is how you type, the tiny mistakes that you make, and even the ordering of words that you use. Being professional as a Moderator is used in the way that if you were Mod, you are part of the face of Mineverse to the community. I present this attribute daily in the way that I strive to improve my look in the community, as well as looking on my grammar as much as possible. With this being said, I strongly stand that people shouldn't be judged for their grammar harshly, unless it is beyond readable. -=- Respectful -=- When I first joined the Mineverse forums, I'll admit, I was excited. I may of seemed to be a bit of a douche, and I don't want to be seen for that. Over the past few months, I've been trying to improve the way I treat people, and I think I've gained success in this. I always have open arms to welcome new people, and respect peoples opinions and rights to speak freely. -=- Mature -=- Yes, I'm an average 15 year old male, yes I have my times, but when it comes down to it, I am mature when needed. I won't hesitate to do what is necessary as a mod on Mineverse, and I sure as hell won't misbehave or misuse the commands or as some would say, 'powers' given to me. I have the ability to buckle down and get to a point, and I intend to do that, moderator or not. With this said, there is nothing wrong defending ones self. -=- Helpful -=- I am constantly moderating the chat, looking for people to help. I am always, 100% willing to help anyone that needs help. In game, I strive to improve the community in any way possible, and if that's what needs to be done, I'll do it. -=- Work Ethically -=- There are many factors that give one the ability to work ethically, and I believe I possess every last one of them. These include integrity, quality of work, sense of responsibility, discipline and a sense of teamwork. As a moderator, I'd shine this attribute to do my job as a moderator effectively and appropriately. -=- Active on Teamspeak -=- Because of this I am always reachable, meaning that when needed a player can get in touch with me regardless of whether or not I am on one server or another. If a player needs help, I'll be there(considering my timezone). -=- The Ability to spot Hackers -=- I am able to spot hackers extremely well, and have had plenty of experience in this field. I report hackers a fair bit, in fact I believe I have had more hackers banned then most mods. -=- How active can you be daily? -=- Due to school, as most people who play here would have, on weekdays my time is restricted more then my weekends. Also, in the soccer season I am unable to be as active as usual. Here's my schedule; Monday: 2-4 hours. Tuesday: 2-4 hours. Wednesday: 2-4 hours. Thursday: 2-5 hours. Friday: 2-7 hours. Saturday: 4-10 hours. Sunday: 4-10 hours. -=- How long have you been playing Mineverse? -=- I joined the forums just over 3 months ago, although in game I have been playing for about 13 months. -=- Have you ever been banned in the past? -=- I have been banned twice now, although both bans have been proven incorrect, therefore they shouldn't affect my chances. One ban was for hacking and the other was for disrespect although both were as said, incorrect. -=-Have you had experience as a moderator before? -=- I have. I have been staff on two servers now, smaller servers only suiting to one game mode each. The first one was one which had a Skyblock part of the server which I was mod on, and the second one was a towny server which has excelled today to have a large player base. -=- Which two servers would you like to moderate? -=- I have chosen KitPvP and OP Prison. Here's why; -=- Kit PvP -=- This is the main server I play. Now, there is very rarely mods online on KitPvP. There needs to be mods on daily, especially from my timezone. I believe that I would be able to fill that gap, while doing a good job of if. Being a moderator is not just about banning the rule breakers, but being a role model to the community. Kit PvP needs a player like this, someone who sees things from another perspective without abusing. I am positive that I am the one for this role, and I am now willing to do it. -=- OP PvP -=- Well, originally I had OP Prison here, although with the new moderators being promoted and certain ex mods being demote/resigning, I felt that I could best help the server on OP PvP. During my time of playing OP PvP, I have noticed that a large proportion of the hackers on Mineverse are on OP PvP. -=- Conclusion -=- I'd like to thank everyone for looking at my app, and I honesty hope you enjoyed reading it. Ok. Here's what I think. 1. I honestly think there is no possible way a Sophomore can spend 5 hours in a game. Im a Freshman and I would be lucky to spend 2. Oh contrare mon frere. You have been a total jerk to me, i'm sorry. If you don't know where to put a capital in a sentence, or the difference between your & you're, no. Overall, tbh not a bad app, however I can't support, i'm sorry. Good luck.
Thanks for your opinion Ryan. As for your first point, Thursday is my sport day at school, we get home early on that day. As for the your and you're situation, some may know the difference but made a mistake. Sorry for being a douche to you in early stages though. I've been trying to change. Im Speechless Dude your app was amazing, you have my Full Support. now on the other hand I have seen you be Rud eto other players, but then again I do see you trying really hard not to butt into other peoples conversations if you know what I mean Lol Other than that dude SUPPPORT!!!!!
I'll half support this, I don't see you helping players in-game, and I do not see you on Kit PvP much anymore.
My PC is locked at the moment, and you don't play enough(on KitPvP) to see me help others. You're more of a Prison person. Thankyou for your opinion though.
Thankyou If I see something that needs to be addressed, especially if I have a strong view on something, I do it.
Yeah, my mother locked my PC accidently, and now we are waiting to either get it unlocked or buy a new one. Worst part is that I am on Holidays, so this would be the time I am at my peek of activeness.
