First of all I have only been playing Mineverse for 4 months and I would LOVE to help the community by getting rid of the hackers, scammers, and bullies (with proof of course). However although most people apply to be mods I have realized that it is more than just banning and kicking and muting people. It is a sign of trust by the owners which is a great honor but hence the quote "With great power comes great responsibility" you would be faced with the normal players of mineverse looking to you for guidance. You will have a HUGE responsibility which can make some mods resign. I thought about all the factors and I have decided to become a mod and take all the responsibility that comes with it to help the community. If you asked most people on mineverse about hacking/scamming/bullying then most of us can agree that: 1.) We want all hackers to be banned or to keep their hacks turned off. 2.) We want all scammers to be banned or to realize what a bad thing this is and to stop doing it. 3.) Your a cyber bully? You're disrespectful? We don't want you to be acting like that on Mineverse. Of course we have the Admin and the mod team to ban the hackers scammers and bullies. As people without perms such as /ban or /mute or /kick etc. we have to report it to a mod and I know that each and every mod is trying their best to help Mineverse become a better place. Of course our mod team is limited so they can't do everything. That is why I'm applying to become a mod and lift a bit of work off their back. If hackers and scammers keep coming then less and less Recruits to Mine-verse will come. I mean there might be someone called PacificRager (example) who is just a newbie who joined mineverse. He could have great opportunities to meet new friends and become a good mod or a good donater. Of course with the increase of hackers and scammers he would probably like to leave or rage and never join mineverse again. That would be one person gone from the server. This is why I am applying to be a mod. To help everyone in every possible way. (unless it is to tell them how to hack or to be a good scammer). Before I start with my Qualities I have one more reason: So as everyone else I started off as a newbie with a random Steve skin and all. Then I met mineverse. I ventured into the different game modes and then I noticed hackers and scammers etc. I didn't have a lot of friends in mineverse though so I quit. I tried playing some other servers but I just couldn't. The next few days I added mineverse back and started playing. I mean mineverse is a server like any other. A good amount of game modes Amazing staff and an Amazing community. Of course there was something that pulled me to mineverse. I started getting more and more friends and then I got addicted to mineverse. Whenever I play on mineverse it just feels like a part of me. Now I am really active on mineverse every day and I have decided to apply for mod a second time. Last time I applied for mod my "Why do you think you should be a mod?" answer was 2 lines long. It was pathetic really. Now I decided to put my heart into becoming a mod to help the staff team and players into making Mineverse a better community. How I would improve the Mineverse community: First of all when I play I usually don't find any mods. Reasons: Timezones. There are a lot of mods in American timezones but no one in the middle east. I also see a lot of people asking is there any mods on? Of course when hackers are on and see that no mods are on then this leads them to using their hacks, spamming, or swearing. A mod in my timezone would be very effective as I don't see a lot of mods on in Infection, and Op prison. Qualities: Hard working and Active: The first two qualities are Hard working and Active. I make sure to Vote and play mineverse as much as I can every day and since i have a Macbook with many desktops by swiping 3 fingers to the left I will be on forums immediately. This will help see reports&ban appeals quickly without having to wait for slow internet to load the page. If there is a problem then I will always go out of my way to solve it; if it is my friends or just a random player on mine-verse that needs help.Friendly&Humorous: The next two qualities would be to be friendly and funny. (humorous) As a mod it is Very important to be hard working and do your job properly but you also need to be friendly with people as mods aren't forced to act serious 24/7 in game. A good laugh; a few jokes never hurt anybody right? Of course you gotta still work and do your job seriously or you won't get anywhere. Calm&Mature: My 5th and 6th qualities would be Calmness and Maturity as those are also very important. I can handle a lot of stress and anger as I am faced with this almost everyday. (A lot of Projects and Exams every week.) I've also had 10 people swearing and hating and hackusating me at once although even then i keep my calm and try to solve the problem logically. Favoritism. As a mod you would usually have a lot of friends on the server and so it would be easy to let them off for hacking or scamming. If you let them off because they're your friends then that is a sign that your a bad mod. Of course I have been faced with decisions like this in real life and I don't let people off unless it isn't a big thing and a first offense. However if caught scamming or hacking (with proof) then I will /ban them. Helpful. One of my last qualities would be Helpfulness. As a mod or no mod I always try to help people if they recently got scammed or if it is just a bit on OPprison or any other game mode or just a problem i real life I will always be there to help. Knowledgeable. I have a few friends who are mods such as HeyitsAlexa and PrincessPayne who can tell me more about mod commands etc. but until now I know a few commands such as: /ban /mute /unmute /unban /tempban /kick. I also have fought many hackers and know when someone is hacking with Killaura/Gliding/Fastbow/Aimbot/Health/Regen/Reach/Forcefield/ Spider/X-Ray . I also know the difference between render lag and fly hacks as I myself have been reported by someone thinking I was flying. (It was the Render Lag). Of course "Knowledgeable" isn't just knowing when and how to use commands although that in itself is important too. A good (or amazing) mod should know how to handle familiar and unfamiliar situations without losing their cool and by solving the problem logically and not resorting to /ban /mute /tempban or /kick immediately. How long can you be active on the server everyday? From 3-6 hours. In the weekends 4-8 hours. How long have you been playing Mineverse? 7 months. Have you ever been banned in the past? Yes for Mute evading on infection. Do you have any past experience as a moderator? No that's why I would like to start being a moderator on mineverse. Which two servers would you like to moderate?
