Hey guys, this is a suggestion I honestly think should go ahead. I have a strong view on this, mainly for the reason that I come from a family where money is worked for, and $100 to donate to a server is a lot of money. Here's why I have such a strong view on this topic; 1. It wouldn't exactly harm anyone to have staff keeping their donor perms. Majority of staff were donors, and it this was set up properly, staff would be able to 'upgrade' their ranks without loosing their staff perms/prefix. 2. Making a staff application is a pretty big deal, you basically throw yourself out to the community as 'bait' to be judged. On top of that, they loose their donor perms on the servers they select. 3. With the new idea of applying for 2 servers, GENERALLY people apply for the 2 servers they play the most. This means that by loosing their donor perms, they are unable to use the perks they get when they have their ranks. 4. I know of many servers where the staff keep their donor perks while still having staff perms. From what I've seen, it isn't hard to set up and shouldn't be much hassle for Cyp/Noob to set up. 5. I know a fair amount of people who wouldn't want to apply for staff due to loosing their donor rank, especially those who have donated large sums of money. Thankyou.
The thing is, its a Donation rank, Its not about the prefix's because its a donation, Thats what people don't get. Any way if you're applying for mod you're ment to be deicated to the server, witch would mean you wouldn't mind losing you're rank and also point number 3 makes no sence, As a mod you don't play the games you moderator them.
You are wrong on most parts. It's not about having the prefix, it's the perks I am talking about. Need an example? OP Prison. Let's say Fred is staff on their, but he was a god before getting staff. He is disadvantaged for doing Mineverse a favour, that favour being looking after the server. Is it fair that I can't give away my kit god for something on another server that I am not mod on? Is it fair that I am unable to play the game and moderate when necessary? If your going to be a mod, generally you need to multi task. Why can't I mine inventories at /warp Q while watching the chat for problems? As for 'dedicated to the server', I don't think it is THAT hard to moderate and play at the same time. Here's another example; George is on Kit PvP. He's a mod on it, but was Titan before getting staff. He has no armour, but if he had kit Titan, he could use it to PvP. One might say that he isn't meant to be pvping but he is meant to be 'moderating'. Now, why can't a mod pvp while finding hackers? Generally it is more obvious if someone is a Mod if they are flying around trying to catch hackers rather then pvping. As for the fact that 'point 3 doesn't make sense', infact it does, as proven in the previous statement. There have been many arguments saying that moderators have lives, that they are just players too, so why aren't they allowed to play occasionally too? Surely it isn't that hard to moderate and play, infact by experience I know it isn't. Like I also pointed out, if you were applying for moderator, you apply usually for your favourite gamemodes. So why aren't you allowed to have your donor perks when you do decide to play? Here's another example; Philip is a moderator on Skygrid but was ranked Supreme before he got staff. No one is online on Skygrid except him. It's the same as the other server that he is mod on, so he decides to play Skygrid. Now, why can't he use his kit on Skygrid? Hm? Thanks for your opinion though.
Again, Donation rank people quite obvisouly don't understand the donator part of it. Applying for mod, You apply for mod to Moderate, Thats the reason of it, not to play to Moderate, its not about if its hard or not to moderate and play at the same time, When you apply for mod, You're applying to Moderate, Not play, Moderate.
You don't understand at all. Sorry, but there are perks (note that it is in bold and underlined? :t that are included in donating. I wouldn't of donated $100 if I wasn't getting perks, now would I? Your one point doesn't make sense. So you are saying that because someone is offering to help the server, they don't deserve to keep these perks that they yes, DONATED for? Hm. :eh P.S. I don't think you read my post that took me like... 10 minutes to type, compared to your post that took you 10 seconds. Again, thanks for your opinion though.
Exactly, people only Donate (There is that key word again:t:) for the perks, but they obisvoult don't understand Donate. Again, Donate it isn't something you pay for and get something back for, Its a donation.
Last time I checked, you get perks for donating. I'm pretty sure that if you are given perks for donating, and someone applying for staff has donated for these perks, then why should it be taken when they decide to help the server furthermore then donating? P.S. Is it obisvoult or obvisouly? Not sure. :l
D-O-N-A-T- nope never mind. Done. Done I give up. I'am getting threw to no one here. ps: merry christmas.
I suppose u keep your donation perks but its abit glitchy as ive seen the new mods with their kit ranks on infection
They do keep their donor perks.. If any mod that has lost their perms they can let me know and I can give it back..
