Rules 1) Don't cheat! 2) You have 24 hours to answer the riddle. After the 24 hours I will announce the winner. 3) Each person gets 3 guesses each and only 3! 4) There is no prize, this is just a fun little game A high school has a strange principal. On the first day, he has his students perform an odd opening day ceremony: There are one thousand lockers and one thousand students in the school. The principal asks the first student to go to every locker and open it. Then he has the second student go to every second locker and close it. The third goes to every third locker and, if it is closed, he opens it, and if it is open, he closes it. The fourth student does this to every fourth locker, and so on. After the process is completed with the thousandth student, how many lockers are open? Good luck and have fun! :D
If all the students after made sure all the lockers that were closed were open, wouldn't they all be open?
Meaning the 3rd and 4th stage would be completed endlessly, if the person was thorough, the end result would be that all the lockers are open.
this is tricky as it goes past it would closed again but when you calculate it 1 won't get closed. 4 gets open, close, open and 9 is open, close open so I guess the square numbers i think and figuring out how many square numbers in 1000 31- that was actually really hard, counting counting counting
