I am suggesting that you make the application section "Private" so that only the applicant can view their application and the status of it. The reason I have for wanting this even though I will be leaving shortly is because I see a lot of this: ^ Ignorant comments made by the common player so that somebody they don't like doesn't get accepted, it's really unfair to people who actually try their best and then get lies spread about them, here are some examples of the people that have had this happen: - @NoobCupCake - @xxELITE - Myself Benefits from making the application section private: - No need to have to lock/archive applications. - No need for warnings during the thread(Flame wars, spam, etc.) - No need to lock threads(Can stay open as long as they want) - Applications can be accepted/denied solely by the Staff team - People can't argue if there's no place to argue on. Hope you all agree with me when I say this would be a good change.
We like them open. It's also good to get a sense of who gets along with who in the community and to get player input. The hiring authority isn't always in game.
I think if Cyp bothers to actually pay attention to the staff he's hiring instead of taking players' words for it, this server would be a lot better off.
^^ If it were "hidden", the wrong people would be promoted. CypriotMerks only knows the top of this server and most of them are already staff.
Yes, but a lot of people lie and create fake arguments and then people read those and they base their no supports off it.
Ninja, so far he's promoted a person who was supposed to be banned, somebody who has abused 4-5 times in under a week. I don't exactly think these are "top of this server" players.
I said most. I am tired of people like yourself thinking you know everything about this server. In my opinion, you are very new to this server and do not know what has happened over almost 2 years on Mineverse. What ScoFu13 said is 100% true, but you disagree because you are the type of player that always has to be right. I agree with some of what you said, but like I said above, open your mind a little.
I agree with this but i believe we should have the option to make it private or open to everyone looking at it.
Considering I'm leaving the server today I don't really care what happens, just decided to suggest this because I see it quite a lot and get sick of people spreading lies about applicants.
What scofu13 said was against the main thread... So if you like what he said, then you should be saying no support.
How can you not have mod apps public... ._. They've always been like this. What's the point of a mod app if people can't criticise (constructively or not) and give ideas on how the applicant can improve? No support.
Though if a flame-war is being provoked, simply ask a Moderator to remove the comments. I believe Moderators should take better care over Moderator Applications.
If flame wars continue to happen the application gets locked, which is unfair to the applicant once again.
