Here's my suggestion. I don't want to come across rude, and reports shouldn't stop being replied to because of this, but here it is: Only take reports over as banned if you are in game/going in game straight away to ban the player. Too many times have I reported players, and a mod has said "banned", but 2 days later, oh wait? They aren't banned. @ScoFu13 there your mods. :P
Mhm. It's quite annoying when you've reported a player and the mods say 'banned', but they never actually banned the player? There is one currently still out that needed to be banned 3 days ago.
Sorry Quick, I don't mean to be rude but.. Where was I mad in that message? It doesn't matter if they have a life. That isn't what this is about. It is about mods only taking over reports if they can ban that player straight away. I think you missed the point. What happens is that mod then forgets, rendering my report useless and that player still disrupting the server. Sorry, but I don't see how that is fair. P.S. I don't need to calm down because I'm not mad. I am addressing an issue that has happened numerous times. I have had to chase down about 10-15 bans while I've been on mineverse and it isn't fun. Sincere Regards, GizzBots.
I don't see why you needed to make a thread about this. No one has ever "forgotten" about your report, it's usually because that moderator is reviewing it with someone else. While you may assume we forgot about it, we always look at the reports, but the only reason why is because there's a ton of reports every day;)
Then why would you do the report? If you know you're unable to actually handle the report properly, then don't do it. That's a dumb excuse, honestly.
You don't review a report after a mod has already stated 'banned'. Usually that means "I'm going to go in game and ban them". Sorry, but I do have to make a thread about this. It's a legitimate suggestion, is it not?
I'm not the only one: http://www.mineverse.com/threads/banned-but-not-banned.33997/ I think there's a pattern here... :t:
I agree with you. Moderators should only comment on a report saying the player was banned if they are already banned and not going to be.
I agree. Mods should only ever close the report once the ban is made. When I do reports I do not multi mod the report until I have gone in game and done "/Seen" to see if already banned and then I ban them. After banned in game I close the report then add it to my ban log. This process should be the standard but I can't see everything every mod does not hold their hand.
