Hi all, I know @jedijosiah has made one of these threads, http://www.mineverse.com/threads/way-to-stop-moderator-app-spam.26638/ but I can't gravedig, so I decided to make another thread regarding 'Moderator Application spam'. A lot of new players that have just joined the forums immediately make a Mod Application and it gets very annoying scrolling through their 10-second Mod Applications, when there are plenty of good ones that are worth the time reading. Most of these members just copy-and-paste their Mod Application from another server's forum and leave the following day. The change is that you must be active member, with the prefix, and above to be able to create a mod application thread, to prevent new member 'Moderator Application spam'. This shows you are dedicated to the forums(or server) as the prefix 'active member' means you're active. This is the link to the Mod Applications tip: http://www.mineverse.com/threads/tips-moderator-applications.41332/ Hope this would help prevent Mod Application spam, this thread is open to every opinion.
If For someone to be a Moderator, they need to be active both in-game and on forums(and more), you can't be a new member and call yourself active right? :p
http://www.mineverse.com/threads/my-mod-app.33414/ This is a waste of our time, and our efforts in making mineverse a better place. And some random person goes here and posts a mod app.
Impatience is a factor here. You see, if you can't post an application right off the bat, players will just brush it off and go somewhere else. The forum would lose players.
I support this. There are so many applicants that apply, and never log back into the forums. It's annoying.
Heck yeah, support. I hate it when I have to repeat "No support" and explain why. It's annoying when noobs do this in 10 seconds, just so that they can get the rank, abuse the rank, and get demoted immediately for immature behavior.
