The forums have all of a sudden become less boring and uninspiring. I don't know who's banned these days. I don't know who's been reported for hacks, who should be banned, whether I am being reported on unfair terms, and I don't even have access to a report thread if I had been reported. I don't think this is fair. We should be able to see reports/ban appeals, defend our own, and provide proof where necessary. I'm guessing that by doing this, it was meant to stop players from posting on reports. I'm sorry, but I think it has halted moderators from doing reports. Please. Change it back...
I love it the way it is. It cleans everything up and makes it so moderators can do their job properly without people commenting on reports and ban appeals.
I would like it the way it was all though it would just be nice if they could disable posting on reports/ban appeals only mods can post
I think posting shouldn't be allowed, but mods can add involved players. Also, ratings should be disabled. I have had a lot of my negative ratings due to reports.
It's been stated before by Cyp that this won't be changed unless it doesn't work out. So far there are only minor complaints on this, nothing that hasn't worked, if you don't have enough evidence for a report, don't make one. "Involved players" are useless and just cause spam, there's no reason for them to be added. If you need to 'defend your report" then it's obviously fairly valid, Mods usually can tell the difference between actual rule breaking and invalid reports, if not you can just make an appeal, takes about 3 mins.
I don't agree with that, reports are meant to be 1 post, either invalid or valid. If a Moderator can't tell the difference they shouldn't handle the report and direct another Mod.
The original version is better. What if someone was banned for hacks yet they can't even view the video that got them banned and they weren't even hacking in the first place? People being reported should be able to defend themselves, rather than not being able to see the report. At least have reports viewable, but have the punishments more enforced more to anyone non-related.
They can defend themselves in their appeal, and show their side of the story. At first I didn't like the changes, mostly because I'm nosy, but honestly, I think the community is working better now, I barely miss them.
