So I have seen alot of apps out there with A. Not enough Information B. Not enough about them. So this thread is here to Help you greats make the best Mod app you can. It will have alot of useful tips to use. People tend to think they dont need to elaborate on the questions on the Mod template, But you do. The more info on why you should be a mod, the better. In many ways people tend to not write well, enough or take enough time and effort in their app. In Fact some applications I have seen use one or half sentence answers to the biggest and most important questions: Experience and why you would make a good mod. A good mod app will mean nothing if you do not put in the work. So please do not expect a good app to equal a promotion. The mods out there now put in Very had work into their apps. Here are some examples of Great Apps! (Most of theres are already promoted mods) ScoFu's App Chloyy's App Pops' App Max's App A lot of these Mods on their Threads put in alot of time and effort on their apps to make it the best it can be. The Template The template: The following is the base template for mod applications Your in-game name: Which timezone are you in? Which languages do you speak? Have you ever been banned? (if yes, why?) Why do you think you should be a mod? How long can you be active on the server every day? Do you have any past experience as a moderator? he whole idea of using the template is so the basic and most important information is covered. Then, you have the creative freedom to make your app your own. Personalize it with added information, make a small introduction. Here Are some tips to help you: The Title: Heres an example title: Applying to be a Mod Spoiler This is what alot of people right for the title on their apps. Its optional but it doesnt have alot of detail. Also Its better to use the full word Moderator is to show your not to lazy to use the full word and it gives of A professional look Spoiler A Better Title would be [Aus+10] Killerdudelol12's Moderator App! <3 [Skywars] [Infection] With the new rules That Cyp added you now have to Say what to gamemodes you want to moderate. With this Title [Aus +10] Shows what country you come from and what timezone. Killerdudelol12 Is my ingame name and if that goes on the app people knows who's moderator app this is. The Template: The Template was written as a Guide so people can know what to right for their App. Heres Some useful tips: The questions Should be answered to the max you can. For why you should be a Mod make it as detailed as possible and long. Short answers that are about 1 sentence long will get you no where. For the questions You should also bold them+ underline them so people can see where each question is. Feel free to use colour but dont go crazy like Using rainbows. Example: HIEP Dont use colours people cannot see like Yellow: Hi It hurts some eyes. Use colours that stand out like blue: This is easy to see. Why I will make a great mod: (Heres an example) I love helping people and I'm friendly to everyone, unless they are rude. Im Active and Im very helpful. I could be a really big help to this server and its developing. I do not get mad at players and I can help them in anything they need help with. I'll Kick/Mute anyone that does the wrong thing Spoiler Its a good start to the question But.. Its best to add more detail. Spread it out and make it look neat and professional, not all scrunched up and hard to read. Also add heaps of details. Add about your qualities. Example: (This is mine) Be Creative In this part! But dont lie! Patient: I'm very patient and dont get hot tempered or Angry fast. I'll happily wait for things and wait for people to respond etc. Caring: I Care about everyone and i care about if they are safe and happy while playing. If they are not I'll find out why and make them feel safe and happy. Etc: Anyone being rude to them or Hackers. Also i care if people are sad or angry and I Love to help them make them feel better. Experience: I'm Experienced for the Job. I've been on Mineverse for along time Know all the rules and know how to react to situations. I also have been a mod on other servers and i was a Admin for a survival/Frac Server. I've done things like been a guard on a prison server that sadly was shut down. I know how the mod system works and I'm ready to be a mod on here Organised: I'm very organised and this will help alot being a mod. i have everything i report in a folder. I have separate folders like Hacking Spam Swearing/Racism Etc and in those folders i have more folders with all the evidence or reports i have done. The folders have that person name on it as well. This is useful because as a mod you know where all your evidence is of people hacking or spamming etc in case you need it for a ban appeal or if you are reported and asked to show the evidence of the ban or in case you need it to ban the person. Helpful: I love to help people and answer their questions and help them understand things like how to play infection. There was a New player online in infection and she didnt know how to play or get xp. So i slowly explained it to her. I will do this to everyone who needs help and answer their questions or concerns they may have How long can you be active on the server every day? Heres an example of what to say: Like stated above i can get on for about 3-5 hours a day Monday-Friday: 6am-7am Then 4pm-7pm Saturday And Sunday: Usually all day unless my family is doing something Then it may change to be like half a day Im able to get on. Do not Lie here. This can easily be checked and review by mods and others if this is true. Try to be active both ingame and On the Forums. Post every time you know of that you can get on Using a timeline type layout is much more easier than one statement saying 1-2 hours everyday. Because each day is always going to be different. You may have sport, a club, a life ;) . Laying out times is much easier. Here are some more useful tips to help you on your app/Summery: Do not lie Always bold, underline or increase the size of the font for headings Try not to use too many abbreviations, spelling out the words fully looks professional List traits: explain and link them to why you would be a good mod Bold important words in sentences: dont over do it Keep the format neat and consistent Use good spelling and grammar Be respectful to others in your app. Do not use offensive language, stereotypes, racist remarks or try and insinuate that mods are not doing their job Be detailed. Polls are good and bad in a way. Because while having a lot of people vote is good, its the lazy way. Written support would hold more bearing. The poll is a start to indicate what people think, and may guide the admins to look at the application, however. It is up to you if you include a poll. Once You get support: Do not bump excessively Any more than 2 posts in a row be ideal and it does get . If people see you do good in game they will search out your application.
