Ok, so this suggestion is to noobcrew. Basically, I'm taking this idea from the past 2 servers I have staffed on and my old server I owned. Basically there is a staff rank that is ninja. A "ninja" appears as a normal person in the chat. Like the last server I worked with, I was co owner and only me, the owner, and the ninjas had a list of the ninjas. The "ninja"s would have the same perms as a co-owner including console permission. It worked out pretty well on my last server. So basically ninjas are supposed to act like normal players. They have DECENT builds. not too good or bad. They are the secrete staff. If there is a hacker, he or she is most likely to attack when there is "none" staff online. But ninjas have the same appearance as a normal player. Thus making ninjas more aware of the server's bad players. The whole point of a "ninja" is for him/her not to get found out. On my last server, when a ninja got found out, he/she was banned for 3 weeks (for looks purposes) and then allowed back with a mod staff rank. When a ninja finds an unwanted person on the server, he/she can either call an staff member that can act as a cover, or use the console to take care of what needs to be done, So, yah. This was an idea that servers I have worked for used often. MasterPvp (a server I worked for) had around 30 ninjas and we made sure that atleast one ninja was on at all times. Thanks for reading :D
Another idea for mini-modding... Most people already know my take on these threads. I have relentlessly replied to each and every one of them, leaving out a few that were just annoying duplicates of others. These threads, consisting of ideas which mainly start off with "moderator perms, but not actually a moderator". Sounds pointless IMO. Mods don't have gamemode c. What does builds have to do with ANYTHING? Letting you in on a secret here: 95% of hackers we deal with are completely oblivious to who are mods and the fact that mods even exist. The more notorious hackers are the ones that are probably well known in the community and forums, but obviously if that one person hacks then do your job as a player to report them. Easy. Eventually, after time, people would recognize who these "Ninja" mods are. Banning them would be unnecessary...It would be completely useless. Thank you.
