Alright, so, regarding this thread: http://www.mineverse.com/threads/lets-talk-about-the-term-unfair-corrupt.31691/#post-316136 I feel I should suggest this, and I hope you all agree with me on this. So, applicants for Moderator now have to pick 2 servers(Aside from Prison, otherwise you'd be a Guard), with reports not being handled as efficiently lately, I believe that 1-2 server Mods should be able to take over Global-Mod reports if it comes to it, i.e if a Moderator can't deal with the appeal/report they claimed/have to deal with, a new Moderator would claim this report, whether they be a Mod on that server or not, make decisions with the rest of the team, and then an action be carried out by one of the available staff members, I suggest this because I know staff are allowed to take over reports/appeals if a Mod doesn't reply for a week or so, or if there's bias, but I believe that there should be a more thorough look into this, and actually put this as a more-used option in the future, to help things move along and get resolved efficiently. Leave your thoughts below. Thanks to @DjRyan for the original thread.
Check the application template. Since about a month ago it's been made so all future mods are only allowed to apply for two servers.
http://www.mineverse.com/threads/updated-mod-application-template-read-before-posting.1/ Second post, says future moderators need to pick two servers.
You're telling me that new Mods needs to pick two servers, when I've already stated that in the thread..
I would think a new type of mod called a "Head-Mod" would work really well as this head mod can shape up the lower ranked mods.
It was said that this was not to be allowed in the future, that's why I was making a suggestion that it should be.
I'm so confused, I'm sorry. you're suggesting that rule to be implemented for our current moderators?
Sorry if I wasn't clear, with new staff being hired that are limited to handling reports for 2 servers, and a few global mods currently not handling enough reports, I was suggesting that new mods be able to assist in reports they can't give out punishments to, so when the report/appeal is resolved, they just tag the original staff/a staff member that can give a punishment/unban.
Moderators work as a team. Every moderator has the ability to assist another staff member in any report. However, in ban appeals it's way different. From my experience as a staff member, only experienced staff members may only take over appeals.
there currently is no mods that can only moderate 2 servers all current mods are global mods. They haven't promoted any one since that posting.
I'm saying it as a future suggestion, the rule has already been put in place, so I suggest that it be changed slightly before Mods are promoted, so new Mods will be able to learn the routine without confusion.
