Hello, I want to speak about the spambots.
In the past few days I've seen so many Spambot threads, I can tell this is getting annoying for the Moderators to have to lock and archive each spambot thread.

I think something we should add to the forums is that when you join you can't make a thread for at least a day, Because I know when spambots join the first thing they do is make a thread about their "problems" and "products" I'm pretty sure you can do this with Xenforo.

Also if you want to report a Spam bot, Don't reply to the thread and tag a Moderator. Click the report button below the post and report it for "Spam Bot" Credits to @mindsensation for telling me this.

Thanks for reading Mineverse. Please state your opinions and support / no support below.

i don't think that would be right as most new membes join thre forums to report people.

I know how annoying spambots are (trust me, I know) but most people want to post an appeal, report, or mod application on their first day on the forums.

Are these threads created by bots, or people that sit behind a computer, creating posts for money?
Because if they're made by bots, this suggestion might be onto something. I presume that if made by bots, the thread is then automatically made within the first few seconds of the account being made, therefore you could disable the creation of a thread for the first 5 minutes, and hopefully stop them. This then takes away the problems that arose in the last two posts.

But if the threads are made by humans, then this really won't change much.

they are usually made by trolls. Spam bots do come on every once in a while ,but at most times its a person just being annoying.

Sorry no support, because there might be new members wanting to report people, and then they can't, making it a little frustrating.

No, we're just talking about the spam bots here. Ignore the trolls, as the time delay wouldn't effect them in the slightest.

i'm saying most supposed spambots aren't bots but people being annoying either way it won't help against the spambots as the person will just set delays...

A much better method to stop the bots would be to put some kind of Captcha authentication.

A shorter time, like Barn suggested, seems like a better idea.
