I've scrolled through the mod app section and what I've seen is just so not right. When you apply for moderator you accept all of this. *Being Active Daily *Giving up your own free time to help on Mineverse *Follow and Enforce the rules *To Not Abuse *Respect everyone the same There are many more I can name but I do not want to mention them all. I've seen mod applications with detail as much as this This will be an example, my name will be included inside of this, but it is not my real application. How old are you? (LOL) If you look above you can tell that application litterally took 3 minutes, now I will use a application that has already been accepted as an example for the next one. I think I should become Mod because I always ask people if they need any help and give new users that join the server a warm welcome Im friendly with a lot of people and try to help out as much as I can, and I take responsabilitie for all of my actions. I play on this server every day for atleast 5/6 hours. I also have had alot of experience in the past with being A Head-Admin/Co-Owner on other servers :D, I know all the commands for being a [Mod] and I also have a lot of staff friends on the server and I also have some of them on skype like:::: BaconBlaster[Builder], R3DY[Admin],KewlMCDood[Mod]. I also feel sorry for people when they get bullied by other player always calling them names and just being horrible to them, they always ask if there is a mod or admin on to help and then because they see im a god, they ask me if I can do anything witch I wish I could when I cant... I just want to keep peace through out the whole server so we can all be happy and to not argue. I always give everyone a chance to change but then if they dont that is were I will have to get involved and to do it the right way. My warning system is like this: 1. Warning to get rid of hacks. 2.If they dont they get kicked. 3. If they dont again they get banned. And this is my system for people who spam. 1. Give a warning to stop or they will get kicked 2. If they continue they get kicked. 3. If they still carry on and dont care they get tempbanned for 1 day. 4. Then if they come on the server the next day and start spamming they get tempbanned for 3 days and to think about their behaviour why they think they are banned. I would like to help this server out as much as I could by telling all my friends I know, to play on this server and to please donate to keep the server running. If the players on the server are happy then I am happy but if their not then I will make them happy :D So please if anyone thinks I am good for mod please support it would mean a lot to me. This is rachetclanks first application, take a look at all the detail he put forward in his application. It really dissapoints me how some people just go out there and make a careless mod application thinking there going to get promoted, being a mod isn't easy and you need to realize that, not everyone has the time for it, so if you want to become a moderator, play on the server for about a month before you apply, be paitent and friendly, some things I see and some things I used to do *Flaming,*Cursing,*Fighting, none of this is needed, a MODERATOR APPLICATION is meant to take CRITICISM! Like me and some others, I look of that players opinion and use it to make myself a better person, Moderator Applications aren't meant to be there for any reason, a mod isn't supposed to get to play with there commands like donors do, Moderators use there commands for good, stop the complaining, if you dont wanna get banned or any like that DONT BREAK THE RULES! I disagree with being active everyday. Most moderators like @fryzigg or @KatoKillsMyGPA were NOT active daily, and they are still fantastic moderators.
I do agree with glitcher in the sense of the detail in mod apps. I've replied to app after app with barely any detail, or just spelling mistakes everywhere meaning they were in a rush or just not putting effort into it. If you're applying try and accept all the feedback possible and add detail if people ask for it.
I'm not.. Gemmalove did nearly the same thing but I saw it afterwards, it's simply annoying to me and nobody has made a thread like this so I decided to do it. Oh I'm only a regular member. Guess I'm not an actual player. O_o Spoiler: Could be considered rude I guess... :lol: Honestly, I see no reason for this, if they want to lie about their age and post a terrible application, I say let em'. It's not hurting anybody, they can have hopes and dreams. EDIT: Active already, whoop whoop. Still not awesome enough to be an actual player though, that's a shame.
I'm not talking about you at all Gemma, your a very experinced Skyblock member, your welcome here at any time, put some people join and already have posted a mod app in there first 5 minutes, this thread was trying to tell them what there saying when they make a moderator application and that if they truelly want the position to help they need to put more detail.
Just having a little fun with ya. Is there a Guides section here? If so, I would suggest having this moved there.
An application means that you are available and you want the position. If it's good, you get the job. Here at Mineverse you need to be trusted, helpful, active and dedicated towards this server. I hate the fact that you use rachet's first application as a bad example, look where he is now. My first application was horrible, over time I added more and I was promoted, twice. Glitch, I don't know why you are obsessed with the staff, but it personally scares me.
