This needs to be sticky. Lately I have seen so many people posting in ban appeals and reports when it has no relation towards them. *Bump*
Most of the information gathering is done at the player level, not even so of the Moderators disposal. Players are willing to help the staff with any information possible to see either justice deserved or to return the server to their own ideal state of being. While I do say that seeing players posting on other appeals or reports can be annoying, they may be able to share information or a light to the argument that noone's been able to catch until that time. And speaking as an old staff member, it happens. It's the staffs' job to uphold themselves to the ideal image that the player base community wishes to see as well as what is required to keep this server, and community, amazing and running.
