Behind The Screen

I have always wondered, I don't know about you, but who is behind the screen?

On minecraft you may have a best friend, they might seem funny, kind and nice. But do you know what they are experiencing behind the screen? When they make a joke, are they feeling happy inside? When they are being kind, are they really dying inside?

If you meet someone on the internet who you judge as a "lamo" or a "retarded dummy" Do you know who they are behind the screen? IF you think they're annoying and you start taunting them, do you know what they are actually experiencing? They might be bullied tons and get it more from the internet when they were just trying to feel better on the internet, to make friends. Never judge anyone, until you know what they are like behind the screen.

On MC you might see someone who IS rude and annoying. But maybe behind the screen, they get bullied lots and are trying to act bigger than they are and make others feel the way they are being treated. I'm not saying it's right, but don't judge anyone until you know what they are going through, behind the screen.

As a person, yourself behind the screen, are you putting a mask on, faking your personality? When you say "lol" to a joke, are you really laughing? When something sad comes along about a person and you say "I'm so sorry to hear that" are you really sad? Are you really dying on the inside?

I'm not saying any of you do it, but just be cautious when you're on the internet, because you never know who is really behind the screen. Thank You -Mimzie

Well, I'm not the same person on minecraft... I'm way more different irl.
I usually consider myself as an a**hole, why? Because I'm typically rude to others.
I refer myself to this quote;
"Monsters are real, and ghosts are real too. They live inside us, and sometimes, they win."
This quote basically means that we all have a bit of evil inside of us, and sometimes, that evil comes out and we can be the worst people.
This is why you usually see me as a 'friendly' person, I just don't want to hurt friends like I do irl.

But anyways, not everyone acts differently behind the screen. There are probably some people that act the same as they do irl, I really don't judge people base on there actions on minecraft.

When i meet someone I just say "cut deeper" it helps figure out what kind of person they are pretty fast.

But yeah, be careful when using, and giving out info on the internet, because it can be very dangerous sometimes. It could cost you in the future.....and not just in money...

 

damn. It's true In game I act like a baws Irl I'm a total nerd.. Don't talk to much people only got some 100% friends most i just talk to sometimes... Yeah...

 

This is incredibly true.
Always remember that all these forums profiles, all these Minecraft accounts, they're real people, with real problems, and real experiences, just like you.
And the fact that a screen separates us, that we aren't face to face, shouldn't change anything about how we treat people.

The internet can be a threat in some ways, and can also be fun. Some people can find it hard to distinguish the difference between fun and danger, and it is a very important part of online safety.

 

This is so true. Sometimes I am sick or very mad at something, and I go to mv and treat people with kindness. Sometimes I can be funny, but I'm not feeling okay. So this is absolutely true.
