Why do you think you should become a mod?: The most obvious and prominent way I would help the server is by performing my main duty as a mod. That is, helping other members out by answering their queries in an informative fashion. Of course, I already do that many times but being a mod it would put more weight into my answers. By that, I mean that players will trust the correctness of my answer more. Another simple way through which I would be benefiting the server is by simply being another addition to the current staff team. With the player base increasing exponentially, it is imperative that we have enough staff members to help govern the server. Yet another way I would be beneficial to the server is through my strict sense of action. I enforce the rules with enough strictness along with leniency when needed. That makes me an ideal candidate to be able to enforce fewer breaches of the rules. My next action which will benefit the server is how I handle difficult situations. I usually manage to sway arguments by diverting their attention and through other methods. I also have an acute sense of knowing who is lying which helps me make decisions more informatively and quickly. Along with that, I am always looking for opportunities to advertise this server in numerous novel methods. I believe that I can bring several new players to the server and make it even more popular than now. I would also help new players as they enter the fun yet complicated world of mineverse. I would inform them of what steps they should first take and reference them to appropriate guides to furthur help them. Afterwards, I will also strive to create a positive atmosphere throughout the whole server in which everyone enjoys their time here. I think an important part of this is keeping the chat argument-free, which will be one of the goals I will hope to accomplish. Also, in real life, I have taken numerous leadership roles which prepare me sufficiently for the responsibility of a staff member on this server. Professionalism is a quality which I admire in others and have strived over the years to gain. I think of my self as a person who does have that characteristic, at least to a certain extent. I post legibly, handle situations in a professional manner etc. I also behave politely and do not let emotions be an obstacle in my decision making process. I think that is very important for a staff member. Another important skill that I believe I have is organizational skills. I am a very organized person and this pivotal for a staff member as it is important that they organize their evidence if the need be to use them. The next characteristic that I contain is likely the most important one - commitment to the server. When I join the staff team of any server, I make it my paramount priority. I become fully dedicated to it and never let any distractions come in the way of fulfilling my duty. Along with that, I possess a rare quality - that of self-respect and embarrassment. What I mean by that is that I get embarrassed easily if I make a public blunder or say something that I shouldn't have said. That also tarnishes my self-respect greatly. This is very important for a staff member as it prevents them from conducting stupid actions. Maturity is an extremely important quality for all staff members to have, which I do have (I hope that is apparent from my time on the forum). I am a mature person who does not let emotions get the best of me. I do not get provoked easily, refrain from using ad hominems, etc. An apparent example of this is how I never responded to Quintencapital using any slur or insult. Yet another distinguishing quality I possess is the lack of lust for authority. I am not applying to have power, threaten others etc. I truly wish to improve this server to the best of my ability. Even if I am not chosen, I shall not be too sad as I know it was my fault. If I am accepted and then demoted for some reason, I also would not deter from my current calm demeanor. In my opinion, that is an extremely important quality for any staff member. Finally, I believe intelligence is another important characteristic that I possess (I am not intending to be vainglorious at all). This may also be apparent from my style of writing, the university I attend (MIT) etc. This is important as it helps me handle difficult predicaments in an intelligent manner. I know everyone tends to say that, but I nearly never get angry with anyone, and instead deal with it how it should be dealt with. I tend to have a very playful and memorable attitude and, in my experience, that attitude creates an environment in which people are more willing to cooperate and strive to enjoy themselves. I tend to come across as extremely motherly and caring, and that's because I honestly do wish the best for everyone and hope to aid them in all areas. I'm quick to warn and correct, but always retain a polite attitude, even when the situation remains unchanged after a warning. The only thing that may hinder me from being a good mod is that I can't stand discussion about politics or religion, and may jump at that. Moderators help maintain the server by keeping advertisers, hackers off and the like in check. It really does depends on the situation. If there is peace maintained, I would myself love to entertain the community by cracking jokes. But nonetheless, moderators will play their part in maintaining the friendly environment like it should be and making sure that there isn't anyone, diminishing the community, such as exceeding the rules provided in Mineverse.
