Okay well a lot of people have been posting about their anxiety or problems they have at home. I think it's okay to tell your friends but you don't have to constantly bring it up in threads. To be honest it sometimes comes across wanting attention. And trust me, I know that these things are hard and everything but you don't have to announce it to a whole community of people. If you are asked to, that's different. This is just my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

(Ps. Sorry for calling it "problems". I didn't know how else to word it.)

I know how you feel. Some people prefer to express their feelings in threads but I think that if the threads are made in off-topic there shouldn't be a problem

Its a way for people to voice their problems when they normally wouldn't. just deal with it or ignore it. this community has alot of depressed people they need this.

Sometimes people have a hard life back at home. And sharing it with someone in there real life, doesn't help, it makes stuff worse. Sometimes people have no one to talk to.

      I understand what you mean.
Yes, people do this for people to see, I mean why would they create the thread if they weren't trying to get people to look at it?
I don't like that people create threads about leaving and their, "problems" as it doesn't help anything. People can use that against you, and I know for a fact that they will.
Depression isn't something to brag about in a thread, just a heads up.

I made an introduction about myself, yes I said I struggle with depression. But who cares? I don't want attention I just want to address it to people so if I ever start acting weird they'll know why. And people don't joke about depression. It's a fatal flaw in this society we call home. I haven't seen any threads about it, and I will not look, for it might be gravedigging. I see your point, though.

I think it depends on why they're brining it up. If people want advice, then GO AHEAD ASK AWAY! If they just want attention and stuff (Which may sound mean, but trust me I've seen it) then just don't do it.

There are 2 types of this topic. Sharing your story and asking for help is one. And then flat out complaining. I shared my story but not for attention. But some people (not saying who) just make flat out "Giveme attention" threads. But yes I understand where your coming from.

Same here Hipster. I don't want attention from people. It doesn't benefit anyone.

However, there are those who do not have friends to share their "problems" with in real life which means they talk to the friends they have online through Mineverse/Skyblock. I agree, it's sometimes annoying to see "My depression" or something in that direction however you are the one who clicked the thread, which means you're interested. All in all, it's up to you to read it or ignore it.

So all in all we sorta agree that its fine for help, or for whatever, just not attention.

      omg There's a RANT SECTION?!
I think I love these forums.
But people sometimes feel like online is where they can really open up to people, and them telling us their "problems" is a sign of their trust in us.
I have true friends online, I tell them about my IRL problems.
So I agree begging for attention isn't good, but letting people know about what's going on with you isn't bad.

I don't have a problem with people telling people online. Even if you're not intending to trying to seek attention in a thread, it may come across that way. I'm saying if you need help, to PM people. Don't make it a public thread
