There is a lot more to being a mod then 'banning rule breakers'. The mod lyfe is a tough lyfe. I've been mod on 2 servers now, and personally it's completely upto you. You don't need people via a poll hating on you or deciding for you; it's 100% upto you.
It's your decision. Before applying, however, remember, as a moderator, you sacrifice your play time for the good of the players. If you can take up that "challenge", why not.
Rei, sure go ahead but I would just like to point a few things out before you do and yes, others agree right with me. You are EXTREMELY rude in game. Every time you die, get double teamed or even just betrayed you literally start cussing, spamming and just break the rules. You get way too mad over PvP and it needs to tone down a bit.
Oh and to be completely honest, I do not think you are near the age of 16. I feel as if you're in maybe the 10-12 range. This is just out of my POV.
Improve on your grammar skills. I know it sounds rough, but no one really knows what a mod is saying when they're talking like this: i Respect This Server And i Will love It Don't talk like that. People get annoyed with caps before a word, for instance: Rose Took My Nose I Suppose (The Scorch Trials line). People hate it when they don't have proper captilization, let alone grammar. Good luck, even though its your decision.
If someone breaks the rules, it isn't an instant ban. Don't think you don't have to follow guidelines if you have a staff rank.
Also, just to point out... Banning hackers and stuff is what a mod is supposed to do. It's not a gift, It's not a trait. That is a factor that is mandatory when you're mod.
