    ?

    Is this a good idea?

    1. Yeah! We need more mods and more people to report!

    2. No, I don't trust people these day, they would abuse their powers.

I don't see why everyone is giving so much hate and no support when people think players will abuse the system. Sure that can happen but there is factors that would be in place obviously.

A reward System sounds very interesting as having one might encourage others to report more often then they do as the only thing people really get from helping the server out with less hackers and such is self esteem and there isn't any true bragging rights when you think about reporting someone. No one actually cares if you do or don't ( Sure there is people that do care I am just saying in theory basically ) ,

Now what you said " 30 successful reports you get MVP and if you get50 you get Supreme. But, once you get to 100, you get a Jr.Mod status. "

I disagree with the amount of successful reports you get that rank or so on in a way.

Noobcrew/CypriotMerks could have a Plugin coded for Xenforo and have it so a Moderator can add to a Players profile how many reports they have done which were "Successful reports" and once you hit a certain amount like the Trophy system on the Forums that is already in place this would be for in game and would give a certain away. It could give a Rank but a Rank cost actual money. Money you get from a job. These players can work for that rank and get it for free in a sense but work for it by catching hackers and getting multiple successful reports so they can get whatever rank it suitable at x amount of successful reports. This also can apply for in game items like diamonds or money or anything really. It just encourages and gives more of a Bragging feature to it as a bounty hunter in a way.

The whole Jr Mod eh it's alright but I don't think that should be given to any player without them applying for that rank after they have the x amount of reports that they can have it but must be accepted on there Jr Mod Application.

So if it was something like I stated above then I Support. :).

So I'm guessing if this was to follow through like if anyone thought this was smart do u really think that they would just give anyone with the amount of reports /ban , and /temp ban I can see about 25% of the community banning their friends "As a joke" I agree with Daddy, what the player doesn't need to provide any Contact info or at least experience? Just what everyone wants Skids that rage and ban who ever kills them.

I luv the feedback, didn't completely think it through and yeah, you guys are right. But we still need more staff D; the amount of hackers are unreal... At one point there were two pages full of reports that were unchecked. Just in op pvp.

      ^

That would only be unnecessary work for a moderator, when they are already full doing appeals and reports..

Then someone else do it. Either way I don't think it will be too hard when they aren't truly full of doing appeals and reports. It isn't like we have 21 Moderators or anything

      Junior Mod?
Maybe that should be deserved not by reporting because some people who reports might not be a good moderator.

You're just power-hungry. If not, then why would you make this thread?

There would be mass abuse of the system. Just think, if this was implemented players could report others for more perks. Those perks would include minor moderating tools that in the wrong hands could be dangerous to the server.

A few months ago, Mineverse was hacked. Everyone on the gamemode Skyblock was given Operator. The amount of abuse of it destroyed the gamemode.

Just, no. I hope this will never get implemented for the sake of the hard work put into this server.

I agree with daddy there should be some type of reward system for reports. Maybe redeemable points to use in game n such, but as far as ranks I don't think that sounds like a good idea. The only fear i would have with such a system in place, would be people filling out false reports or stuff not worthy of reporting just to try and get points which in turn overloads the mods having to read pointless reports. I'm sure they get tired of noob reports already :shifty:

I know, and they need to live them correctly, just if there were say 5 more mods then it probably wouldn't get to that many annoyed people because 24 people are hacking and swearing...

      No.
Anyone can report a lot of people and then be an abusive moderator. Jr Mod is a bad idea.
Reporting is to help the server, if you want to become staff, apply. You report without expecting a reward other than making it so there's one less rule breaker on the server.
I also doubt there is any way to limit how much one may temp ban one with a limit.
Jr. Mod wouldn't be able to do a lot, rendering them useless.
Reporting is helping. Apply if you want a shot at moderator. It's not a question of how much one reports. Sure, it gives more chance that you're helping out a lot, moderators appreciate it.
      Shortly, no support.
