Well....this week has been a very interesting week for Minecraft. For those of you who aren't Minecraft addicts, and aren't up to date on what has been happening, well...Notch and the rest of Mojang have now said goodbye to Minecraft, have abandoned it, and Microsoft has purchased it for 2.5 BILLION dollars.
Notch has posted this regarding the whole thing:
      http://notch.net/2014/09/im-leaving-mojang/

Also, the official post by Mojang can be found here:
      https://mojang.com/2014/09/yes-were-being-bought-by-microsoft/

So what do you think this means for the future of Minecraft? Server prices rising, servers been changed dramatically, Microsoft messing up Minecraft by changing something that is very silly or something else? Tell us what you think here!

I understand what you are saying. They might fix up this bad EULA :)
But there is always the negative side, they might do something bad that will cause a massive rage with the community (like the EULA change)

yes but like with the xbox a lot of bad changes had happen that the players didnt like and microsoft takes the time and listens to them and fixed the problems up changes it to where people r happy, with dis i feel like any bad ideas they might come up with might get fixed cause they listen to people.. so it isnt all that bad

If Microsoft doesn't focus on XBox then we'll likely be okay.

Why the hell do we need like 5 threads about this? Seriously, no need for 20 threads about it. -.-

The link where it leads you to Mojang's official website says that they will continue to develop Minecraft with its updates even though Microsoft bought them.

"Is the game going to change? Will we still be able to make videos, mods, awesome builds, and all the cool stuff we’ve created over the past few years?
Minecraft will continue to evolve, just like it has since the start of development. We don’t know specific plans for Minecraft’s future yet, but we do know that everyone involved wants the community to grow and become even more amazing than it’s ever been. Stopping players making cool stuff is not in anyone’s interests."

As you can see from above (which I have underlines and used italics) they will still continue Minecraft pretending like Microsoft have never bought them.

I kinda think that Microsoft won't listen to the Community and completely change it how they want and possibly just for money. Not sure if changes will be Good or bad. But i'm sure Minecraft will be Much more different from now to next year from if Mojang was still with them. Hopefully it won't go downhill. I would cri :(

Guys think. You know what happened to beats? Apple bought it and they just left it as it is and made it a product of apple. The say will happen to Minecraft. What i'm trying to say is the controller of minecraft (Owner) is now Microsoft and thats it.

Ok ok. No need for 526273838383 threads about this. Look guys. Microsoft wants money. All they want is money money money. If they change it, or make us pay to play it.. No ones gonna buy it. It might seem logical, that they will make more money by making people pay for it each month. But it really isn't. Maybe some people will. And a lot probably wont. And anyone knew to buying minecraft.. Will not won't too. It'll be another expensive game that no one wants. I also read something about paying for keeping a server up. Recent stats online, show most minecraft users prefer multiplayer than single player. If servers start to go down. Then people will play single player. And trust me, playing single player for 4 hours straight gets freaking annoying. If that happens. Only few servers will stay up. They will lose players and keep losing them. If they want money. Then they wouldn't do any of this nonsense. I really think nothing is going to change. I think the main other reason they bought it is.. To make money for there own company.
      :P

Nononononoononononono... Stop.... NOO... NOOOOOO. >:{ ok... first off yes Microsoft OBVIOUSLY Bought it for 2.5BIILLLIOONN dollars for money... who wouldn't? You gotta know that Microsoft is a company 10 Times bigger than Mojang... Meaning they Will work on it... and make it either WAY better or completly worse... but all in all People will still buy it no matter what... No one will not buy Minecraft... microsoft also is a "ONLINE" company... they might make servers cheaper or Free maybe because what game/console has Microsoft made that doesnt have free Online modes. so No matter what its almost impossible for Minecraft to be ruined to be 100% honest.. Plus they actually might listen to the community because if they are in it for the money then they ruin the game and no one buys it (if that happens) then they spent 2.5billion dollars for nothing. They will "HAVE TO" make minecraft better... not worse
