Microsoft is offering $2 Billion Dollars for Minecraft and that means it will most likely go towards Xbox then PC but there isn't any truth to that.

      • Notch asked Microsoft to buy Mojang.
      • Mojang is most likely to go through with this, even though there is no messages from Mojang Staff about the issue.
      • Notch states that he will quit Mojang if it is bought by Microsoft, not including some other reasons.
      • Minecraft will most likely not be coded in Java anymore.
      • Minecraft will be more of an Xbox game, only updating on PC for endorsement.

In late December of 2012 this is was Notch Tweeted:

If they cancel EULA and fix what Mojang has done; I'm okay with it.

Well if they do that I am okay with it as well but to a Extent. If Minecraft goes into a Different code like C++ or C# or something like that then it will be a big game changer in multiple ways like Mods and other factors that will have to be rebuilt. So if that happens that will be crazy.

Another thing is that if bought they might be focusing more on Xbox version then on PC and that will do a lot of trouble as the PC Community for Minecraft has been there since day one and if Microsoft neglects that then Minecraft will die off.

If Microsoft uses Minecraft for xbox and is more based around that, I think that, if they neglect updates or changes to Minecraft on PC, the community will eventually die down and soon Minecraft will be a game lost in the void

I doubt that they would be more focused on Xbox rather than PC.
Minecraft was originally built on PC. Also, Microsoft is more responsive to their users and players. They consider feedback and suggestions.

Look what they did with Xbox One. All of their horrible decisions were canceled because of their players and or users.

That's very true but I guess it all comes down to what they decide in a way. I am also doubting that they will focus on Xbox rather than PC but it's a possibility that could happen.

Microsoft is actually faster with large updates rather than Mojang taking about 5 months per update. Microsoft knows what they are doing and what the consequnces are. I have always been with Microsoft, as I grew up with my first console being the original Xbox.

They know when they make mistakes, and when that happens they will try their best to fix it.

      This would be horrible.
Its like oculus rift being bought by facebook
If this happens, Microsoft will ruin the game.

That's not true. As 4j studios are the ones who brought Xbox version of Minecraft to Xbox and it was very slow for a update longer then 5 months on some and it wasn't even going on a new update they were just fixing bugs and it took
ages for them to do so.

What? Why would Facebook buy the oculus rift. That's stupid.

I'm not stating for the Xbox version of Minecraft. That takes a while for updates. I'm saying that when Microsoft updates things, they do huge updates. Not just these updates that bring in a couple of blocks like Mojang.

Oh well in that case yes. Microsoft rapidly updates and does many tests before bringing out a update.

More like, Why would the owners of oculus rift sell it to facebook.
The previous owners would have made alot more, and made a way better product.
Facebook made a smart move, but they are not a gaming company, they will just botch it. Like they do with everything they buy.

All I know is that I'm a little scared about it. :/ But for the most part I'm not going to think about it much.

I honestly don't know how I feel about it, Microsoft has done some good things, but they've done their fair amount of not good things. I'm neutral here :|

I really don't know what to think really I mean, Microsoft does have a lot of money that they can use to benefit the game for the better but there is a chance that the whole thing could go down hill :/
