Niteshead's Moderator Application I. Introduction Hi there! Welcome to my Moderator application! Please take the time to read the entire application. I have spent a full month typing this out, improving on it, and then typing it out again and I personally think it's pretty good. I would greatly appreciate any feedback, good or bad, to be posted in the comments below. BUT as I know is true on just about every Minecraft server forum, there are those people who don't like commenting, so just for you guys, I have added a poll so you don't have to post. II. Interview Why do you think you should be promoted to a Moderator instead of all other deserving players in MineVerse? Responsible - I am responsible. When given a task, I get it done ASAP and I will often fight through hell and high water to do it too.I seem to have slight OCD ( or CDO as the family joke goes :p ), so you can count on it looking pretty and being done correctly. Active In-Game - I am rather active on the server. I don't really play on all the servers much and the only one I really talk on is the Prison server but I try to get some time in on the other servers as well. Active On Forums - On the day I started making this app ( December 15, 2013 ), I had joined the server forums 10 days previous, in which time I had already posted 70 times and made many new friends . On the day of posting ( December 24, 2013 ), I have posted 118 messages . Mature - I like to consider myself mature ( doesn't everyone though? ). I have been called mature for my age before too though so it isn't such a conceited statement as it seems at first. I am a good player online and try to treat everyone with the respect due to them as other human beings on this earth. Fair - I'm my past jobs as moderator, I was often the person looked to whenever someone was unsure of what to do. I often found that my advice had been just what they needed to hear to make their own proper and fair decisions on what to do. I have had times when I have had to confront a good friend about hacking on the server and I made sure I didn't become one of the kinds of people I hate and play favoritism on him by giving him a lesser punishment. No, I gave this friend a 7 day temp-ban from attempting to get me to "let him off the hook". Willingness To Accept Help - I, myself, have had to ask for help at times. No one can always know what to do with a situation, sometimes they need help. That's what Skype is for, allowing you to get in contact with fellow staff for advice on how to deal with the situation and I have to say that I have used it for just that many times. How long can you be active in the server everyday? On weekdays, only after school and after all my school work is finished, of course. During the week, I can squeeze in at least an hour or two. On the weekends, however, I can be on anywhere from 1 to 8 hours, but this can be unpredictable as, at this current moment, my mom's computer is the only computer in the house that can run Minecraft ( yeah I kinda take over a lot :p ). How long have you been playing on Mineverse? Since before the update and restart. Mineverse and I date back to when the spawn looked similar to skyblock.net's spawn only it was a multiverse hub with portals and all that. Do you have any past experience as Moderator? I have loads of past experience as a Mod and other staff positions as well. I have been Owner of 2 servers, Developer on 1, Admin on 2, Mod on 3, and TMod on another. I know all the commands for just about EVERY plugin out there and know how to deal with problems effectively and without causing any long term issues. V. How I found the server I don't entirely remember how I found the server. I joined about 2 years ago I think it was. I think my cousin had something to do with it. VI. Goal As a player trying out to be Mod, it makes sense for me to have goals for if I do achieve Mod. Goals to help the server and so on. ✔ Help Out The Server ✔ Enforce The Rules ✔ Break Up Fights / Conflicts Should They Appear ✔ Warnings / Mute / Kick Spammers ✔ Remove Foul Language From Chat With Warnings / Mute / Kick ✔ Tempban / Ban People Using Glitches and/or Unfair Advantages ✔ Ban Hackers ✔ and more of course ***NOTE: The order in which I listed punishments for the above listed offences IS, in fact, the order in which I would deal with the said offence.*** VII. How I have contributed to the server • Helped the server in any way I could • Screenshoted and reported hackers • Reported people using glitches (ie: lava in prison) • Helped people on the forums wherever I see help needed • Voted for server everyday VIII. I guess this thread is a bit pointless now lol just got promoted yet again on another server that I love and have numerous friends on. For those of you wishing to join me on the first server I got the privilege to be staff on since 1.4.7, you can msg me on here and ill tell you the ip in a private message. If I continue to get support on this app and do one day get promoted on this server I'll see what i can do to moderate both servers ( alts r gonna make it easy and i have 4 accounts i can use soo.... :P ). Ill still be on the forums every night tho
