Let me clarify. The EULA has been that way since like 2012. So it's not new. If anything is new is that there now enforcing it.
Do server hosts have a grace period to implement changes to their servers? Yes. All servers must comply with the EULA by August 1st, 2014. look this part ;) is the end of minecraft :bitenails::bitenails::bitenails::bitenails::bitenails::bitenails::bitenails::bitenails::bitenails::bitenails::bitenails: http://gyazo.com/940a97838237c5e4622a5e2d55516087 and this notice are of 16 june of 2014 http://gyazo.com/8e3eb042892c9eb6f8811c28a9590a74
It's not unfair nor if you did sue Mojang you would loose as in the EULA it's been like that since 2012. You accepted the Terms and Conditions so therefore you would loose the case.
I read up on this about 2 days after it was posted, and this will be harder to run servers, because less people will donate, although owners can always be giving donaters *prefixes*, *NameColor*, *Pets*, *anything for looks and is not gameplay changing. It seems like Minecraft wants even more money, because they're trying to force you to buy realms in a way, which is making me mad (as I want Minecraft how it is today) It's taking effect August 1st.. We have 7 days to enjoy servers how they are, but if you donate before August 1st you get to keep your perks, which is good for the players who donated before that day.
No one likes it, but since mineverse is one of the top servers in the world its sorta screwed. Thats who mojang will will target first.
Yes then we must help NoobCrew, and Cyp, to make something good that follows the standards of the EULA.
We're left with "donating for the looks" and "liking the server" The only reason a lot of people donate is to be better, which I personally don't like, but that's how all the servers could pay for another month/year of hosting. Anyways I think we should make a donators name glow like "nameglow" "namecolor" "better prefixes" "talking in color" "joining a server that's full, and other ways to make users want to Donate!
