why do people have gapple fights?

    here is my first question? HOW DO YOU KNOCK A PERSON DOWN WITH A GAPPLE???
    sometimes people repeat and punch me with gapples and 1 guy decided he would fight me and he took me down with a gapple XD it's not hacks but it just was unbelivable that he killed me with a gapple? what the heck!
