Dear fellow readers, Welcome to my mod application! For those who don't know me, my username is DJADerek. The gamemodes I play in most, are kitpvp and parkour. A little about me will be below this, but feel free to skip to the mod application. I hope you enjoy reading my application and I need all your support so please support me! My real name is Brian, I made the account "DJADerek" when I was 10 because I always wanted to have the name "Derek". I was born in California, USA, and currently 13 years old. I enjoy skateboarding, playing soccer, playing Minecraft Mineverse, and hanging out with friends and family. As I stated above, in Mineverse I mostly play Kitpvp and Parkour. I enjoy these two and you can find me there and on Kitpvp, you can come challenge me to a 1v1! :D, or on Parkour we can have a race on a level or a series of levels! Just a little side notice, In my times of Mineverse, I have been banned before for hacking. In around April, I was recorded and banned for using huzuni. In May I was banned for hacks, but I wasn't hacking and another time because of confusion with a report. I have been warned also for language. I can be a little rude at times, but now I have grown and matured to now know it isn't cool and funny to be rude to other players. My bad past is not me, but now I am a new person; a hacker, profanity, rude FREE person that just wants to help the community and server out. Please don't judge me and my appeal because of my bans, again I am a new person and those dark days of me are over. Moderator Application: Simple Questions: How old are you? 13 years old. American English, learning a little Spanish in school. IMPORTANT QUESTION: Why do you think you should become a mod? * = Important 1.) I'm kind and respectful. * I try my best to be friendly towards everyone on mineverse and in real life, but sometimes I can get carried away in what I say or do, but I'm beginning to age more and be mature more, and when I go on any server, I greet everyone by saying hello, and such as kitpvp usually people don't say "good game" back, but I say this to everyone I challenge in pvp, even if they are good, or if they need practice in pvp. My parents and Christian faith have taught me to be kind and respectful towards others. If you get to know me on Mineverse, you can easily say, "Hey! This guy is pretty respectful and kind to his friends and people around him!" 2.) Hackers, scammers, racists, and disobedient players to the rules. * On a lot of the gamemodes there are people: good people that play the game fair, and then there are these other type of people: hackers, scammers, racists, and disobedient players to the rules. Gamemodes, such as parkour and kitpvp are packed with hackers. Kitpvp hackers are people that use kill aura, auto disconnect, etc. Parkour has been packed with gliders, and people that fly. Parkour is very challenging, especially some of the levels are hard to beat and are very frustating at times and people start to get frustrated, so they start to hack, and glide and fly their way through levels because it is too hard for them. Not only this, but people are scamming, such as kitpvp and prison for money, and items. Also people that disrespect the moderators and other players, such as kitpvp when they die, they rage, or if someone they pvped was easy to kill they insult them. Hacking and scamming makes it unfair for players who just want to enjoy playing on this server, but they can't because of these certain people. Minecraft is also a game for all ages and when disrespectful people are exposing profanity and racism, these young children that don't need to know this stuff will then pass it on to different servers, then in real life. I want to stop this, to stop these people and make the game modes better, clear of hackers, scammers, and disrespect. Not a lot of mods are on at these moments when hackers are on. You can count on me to get rid of these people; to ban them when they are on, and even take care of the reports quicker. In parkour, I can fly around the levels to check to see any gliders or people flying. The more mods, we can clear these people and help the server get better! 3.) I am helpful. * When someone has a question on a game mode, I answer them by /msging them. Also I like to help teammates, but people who are struggling in the game such as giving extra items to them, or guiding them in the game mode so they can enjoy it and have fun. In real life I try my best to help the poor, by giving money to homeless people and giving canned foods to a charity. Also at school I like to help my classmates in a subject, such as if they need help on a math problem, or if they need someone to study with them. To be a mod, you need to help other players enjoy the game without any interference of hackers, etc. 4.) I'm mature & responsible. * All the mods I've seen are mature. They don't say inappropriate things or act stupid, but they are mature. To me, I think one main part of being a mod is to be mature and responsible for your actions. Being good at a game mode or your age doesn't matter, what matters to be a mod is how responsible and mature you are, as in to be mature to know what is funny and cool, and things that are not good to say and shouldn't be said, but sometimes to have a little humor, and to be responsible as in if you messed up something, don't deny it or lie, be responsible for actions and choices you made. 5. I'm honest. I am honest and I tell the truth in my ban appeals, in game, and in real life. Even if there are consequences I still tell the truth because I am responsible for my actions and just lying makes it worse and gets you nowhere in life. When we are honest and truthful, we grow our relationship with God, but also that people know and can respect you because you tell the truth, rather than lie to them. 6. The fun and work of a mod. If I were to be mod, I would enjoy it greatly. To me it is like an actual job; to help the community out and to learn what it is like to help others, by taking care of reports, appeals, and banning hackers etc in game. Also, I would love to be in the staff, to be with the other mods and learn from the experienced ones. I would enjoy getting the job done and a hard day's works of reports, appeals, etc. How long can you be active on the server everyday? In summer break, Christmas break, and spring break I play a total of 4 hours a day, including weekends. When school days I am on for a total of 2 hours a day. I don't play STRAIGHT hours, I usually split them, such as 1 hour MC, 1 hour homework, another hour MC, another hour studys. People have told me to be a little more active on the forums, and yes I will. I will split my 4 hours of playing, to 2 hours of forums, 2 hours of playing, yet being a mod at the same time. How long have you been playing mineverse? Honestly, since about March/April to now. But I will continue to keep playing mineverse. Do you have any past experiences as a mod? Not on any popular servers or servers with lots of people, but small servers my friends own or just people I know. Thank you for reading this application.
