Alright, This may just be me but I like to play mc. I like to play with friends myself doesn't matter, Eventually it comes to a point were it all goes down hill. Thats when the moderators come online. Personally i think moderators should also have to make a report about players instead of banning or muting on the spot. Players SHOULD be allowed to argue valid points as well as having a free will of speech as stated in the treaty of the united kingdom. I was banned for 30 mins today for arguing a valid point were other players are using CAPS, Hacking ( Fast bowers right outside of spawn ), Spammers. Moderators should have less power they take advantage of that and make up their own rules. Mineverse wants straight forward rules make a /rules plugin to tell players what the rules are straight forward no hassle. I am sick and tired of moderators banning and muting straight off the bat and when they can't argue a valid point which they know is true they mute. They ban, Completely ignoring spammers hackers or caps lockers. I may be wrong or I may be right this is my point of view. All comments are welcome i would appreciate it if this page stay open for other players to comment and not to be closed and archived.
Well if you don't think it's ok for them to ban/mute players on the spot, what made you think that it's ok to break the rules in the first place. They are moderators. That's their job. They can't just sit there and not taking any kind of action when players are breaking the rules. Plus they don't ignore hackers, spammers, or cap lockers. I always see mods banning them.
Banning off the bat? Us (mods) need evidence to ban people, we can't just ban the person for nothing And then you mention we mute off the bat? Again, we have reasons to mute people And we do not ignore spammers, hackers, and caps, we actually deal with them, you just don't know about it..
Feel free to report a moderator if you know they falsely took action against you, that's why the "Report a Staff Member" thread is there. But I highly doubt any of our team would do that. We're very careful when it comes to taking action as we like to have evidence to back it up. We have rules right here on the forum, you can read them there. (I think Gwism's version is more detailed though.) We DO NOT ignore any rule-breakers, if we do, we don't mean to. If we're dealing with a situation, we try to finish it before moving onto another. Along with that we also get spammed with other situations or for random stuff. Point is, we are trusted with these permissions to do the right thing. We are also human beings so we do make mistakes and are not perfect.
If this actually goes through, the server would be hell... You are only looking at it from your point of view, we try our best. You shouldn't be able to oppose punishment, that just makes everything take 6 hours to handle.
Also, we're sorry that we can't be in 59 places at once and that we can't do everything that you want in one moment. We are human, not coded bots. We make mistakes, so do you. People need to stop looking at us like we are supposed to be perfect at everything.
Mods need evidence to ban/mute or whatever it is they need to do. If you don't like these rules, deal with it. Arguing a valid point from your perspective is called ban appeals. Mods are humans. They can't be everywhere at the same time. THEY HAVE LIVES. Mineverse, or Minecraft for that matter, IS NOT their life. They have important reasons to be here, but they also have important things to do with their life.
Moderators Stop the server from hackers spammers ect. They do there job that NoobCrew/Cypriot Tells them to They are only trying to Help the server that's there job. Plus not every Human is PERFECT
You were lucky it was only for 30 minutes. Back on the server that I work on, if you hack once, you're banned for life. As for mutes, the minimum mute is one month. Some are forever.
Um... They don't mute and ban because they want to. When you think they are free they are very busy handling a lot of situations at the same time. When they ban someone, they tell then to make a ban appeal in case they did something wrong. Mods are amazing here and they have rules to follow also. So please don't blame all the mods for that.
I wouldn't suggest bringing the Treaty of the United Kingdom in here, as this server has players from all different parts of the world. In the USA, freedom of speech is defined as having a right to be entitled to your opinion. On any server, it's completely fine for you to have your own opinion. However if this opinion is being escalated to an argument or offends any of the players, that "freedom of speech" does not mean freedom of consequences. Anyway, as Beef said, you're looking at it from your point of view. If someone weren't able to stop the argument, whatever it was about, it could have spiraled into name-calling, which obviously isn't allowed...basically, you never know what players will do or say next.
Imac i One Up you i've been banned for having a valid point and if that guy was annoyed with me arguing he should of reported me instead of having Pile ban me
And no offence glaadiator i think your my Favorite mod but That Person should file a report instead of having that mod help him out and ban on the spot
You could have rated the post funny rather than post something that provides nothing positive for the thread...
