Bumping?

Please excuse my inner noob.
Does bumping mean editing and saving? I happen to do that quite often, and I want to make sure I'm not annoying the mods half to death.
Or is it just putting a new space in and then posting it again?

As I said earlier, I'm nooby to the forums and I don't want to be on the bad side of things

 

Whenever another post is made on a thread, it "bumps" it to the top of that forum. So when someone posts "Bump", they want that thread to be at the top of that forum so others can see it.

 

And if i am correct it is aloud to be bumped once a day?

 

But updating a post in itself isn't considered bumping? I just want to be sure, because I think there's a 1 bump limit per day rule.

Editing a post will not bump it, it'll simply leave a note in the bottom right of the post saying when you edited it. You can edit a post as much as you like but yes, you can only bump once per day.

The bumping is actually just commenting on your post a random thing, then it moves your thread to the from of the page of the forum.
