this one is really simple, what about you disable clear lag for something like 5 minutes after a player dies, so they have a chance to get their stuff back. either that or fix /back so it can take you to your death location. its so annoying when you die and then your stuff clears. (this is also the reason i am quitting the new survival)
One problem I can see with this; if people decide to chain their death timers together so there is never a chance to do a lag clear. Then you get a force lag clear which underminds the point. If at all possible, I think items dropped on death should get a tag (if possible) that marks them as safe from the lag clear while still leaving the 5min timer from regular minecraft
but /back never takes you to your death point, only spawn (because you get teleported there after you die) and the last home you were at. not terribly useful.
I can't really see this being possible without an entirely custom clear lag plugin being made just for the sake of it being able to turn off for a few mins when a player dies. I'm also 99% sure that it doesn't clear unless somebody is loading the chunk(s) you died in. Really, this is the reason? How often have you died in order for this to be such an issue that you're mad enough to quit survival, you do realize clear lag is on every gamemode and on every server on minecraft, right? If this is such a big deal to you how have you gone on playing multiplayer minecraft for years without quitting, I mean it's not even like clear lag didn't clear items on the old survival too. At the end of the day, I don't see why it's needed, especially when chances are a clear lag plugin would have to be made just to do this. /back would be nice to fix if possible / easy, but otherwise I don't see a reason. No support.
A, i got lucky most of the time, and didnt lose as much stuff B, it takes some time (like 30 seconds) for chunks to unload, so items can still clear in them.
No support, it becomes very complicated when you think about it. The plugin wasn't made that way and a lot of people die, the server could potentially start lagging a lot. /back sounds like as said earlier, keep inventory on.
