How old are you? I am 12 years old, and I will turn 13 in by the end of this month (July.) I think that I'm capable enough to handle this role, and don't underestimate me for my age; I can be quite mature for a twelve-year-old. Your in-game name: My IGN is ThePixelMaster1, however when 1.8 comes out I'm changing my username to Pixel_, probably. What timezone are you in? I am currently in the timezone EST/Eastern Standard Time. What country do you live in? I live in Canada, in the city of Toronto. What languages do you speak? -I speak English (obviously) -I also have been learning French since the 4th grade, and although I am not very fluent I can still communicate with anyone who requires a service a moderator can provide. Why do you think you should become a mod? I've had experience with this role before, and I love to help people who need it, in order to make the server a better place. Helping people get used to the server and leading them to become successful is beneficial to the player, others, and the person who helped the player, and I usually aim to help new players on a daily basis. Assisting people is being kind, and I aim to be kind whenever possible. I've taken to enhancing my own Minecraft experience by enhancing others'. You know what they say, "Smiles are contagious." Unlike some others, I actually realize that this isn't just banning hackers or whatever. It's a lot more complicated than that, and I know how to handle this role well. I understand the full consequences of abusing powers, and will keep a lookout for anyone in need of help or in need of punishment. I will be hardworking, dedicated, responsible and put my moderator duties in front of my general gameplay. I believe I can live up to the standards of this amazing server. I have never been banned, punished or broken any rules on this server, and I'm hoping that I never will. I will always be dedicated to my role, I will put others' needs in front of my own, and will never abuse my powers. Here are a few of my qualifications: -I am friendly, empathetic, responsible and optimistic I enjoy talking to many people, and I am always positive to everyone (as long as they're friendly to me first.) I have chatted to many people about many topics, and I usually end up becoming friends with them. I can empathize with players about stuff going on in Minecraft or possibly their lives outside of the game. I've done that before, a few times. I log on every day, and can moderate the chat. I will remember all of my responsibilities and the "Do's" and "Dont's". I like to see things on the bright side, and I can cheer up anyone that's having a bad day. It's good to be cheerful and responsible as much as possible both in-game and in real life. It's a good quality to have as a human being in general, and benefits both yourself and the people/players around you. People want to talk and be assisted by a cheerful person, not the kind that gets exasperated when you try something for the first time and do it wrong. -I am mature As you might've have noticed by now, my grammar is pretty good and my spelling is good, not meaning to brag. Like every human, I make mistakes, but overall I am pretty mature and don't freak out over small things. I will always double-check my posts to check for any errors or anything that could cause a misunderstanding. This is essential to becoming a moderator. It helps players understand you and earns a better reputation for the server. Nobody can understand an unprofessional moderator/player that talks like "hi duz any1 ned any halp? : )))))." It's also quite uncomfortable to read text like that. -I am familiar with the commands As I was staff on some servers before, I know almost all the commands such as /ban, /kick, /mute and /tempban. I will keep an eye out for people that are breaking the rules and determine the correct punishment for them. I will never use these commands to my own advantage, instead I will use them for the benefit of the server itself. This is extremely important when acting as a moderator, because without punishments people will just keep performing actions that are against the rules. -I know all the offences that can result in a punishment Swearing? Hacking? Scamming? Threats? All these can result in a punishment, and I've seen enough players do these that I can recognize an offence when I see one. I believe this is good for a Moderator as you don't want to ban someone for scamming when it happens to be allowed (Just an example.) -I am patient and calm during intense situations I can explain things to people as many times as they want in order to help them understand something. I don't get easily frustrated because someone can't understand what I'm saying, which is a good quality for a Moderator in my opinion, as some people aren't as good at English as others; we want people to feel good about themselves and the server, not to be put down by someone screaming at them for not understanding. I've had people scream at me before and insult me on Minecraft. I never start arguing with them, instead I usually ignore them and move on with whatever I'm doing. I think this is good because as a Moderator you're bound to receive some criticism and feedback. Freaking out because someone doesn't think that you're doing your job right isn't going to help you at all. How long can you be active on the server everyday? On most days, 3-4 hours. However on other days only 1 hour or even up to 5 or 6 hours. During weekdays, I am usually online somewhere between 10 AM to 4PM, if not all 6 hours of that time. If my family decides to go on a trip or something, I can usually squeeze in an hour of Minecraft per day. This only applies for the next 2 months or so, because of summer break. I'll have an updated (and more busy) schedule once school starts. How long have you been playing Mineverse? I have been playing for about 6 months, and am familiar with all the server types: I've played them all at least once or twice, and can give new players tips of how to thrive in these servers and throughly enjoy all the servers have to offer. Do you have any past experience as a moderator? Yes, I do. I was helper on the server Minetime. I was not demoted for any unwise actions, but I am no longer staff there because I wanted to expand my career on other servers. I was also a mod on a small server named AresBros, run by my friend @JPCVx. It got taken down, though. I feel that I did a reasonably good job on both of these servers, and received generally positive feedback on Minetime. (Nobody gave me feedback on AresBros, lol). Thank you for reading my application, and I hope you take me into consideration as a Moderator! Constructive criticism is appreciated! Support! :D My server was small, and nobody broke any rules most of the time, so that's why it may seem that you received no feedback about being a Moderator on my server. You were great, though. Good luck! (You might wanna copyright this application to prevent somebody from stealing it again!) :P
