This thread is mostly directed to KitPvP but also involves OP PvP If you play KitPvP or OP PvP you probably know about Minecraft version 1.15, what it does, for the PvP modes atleast, is that it allows you to Bow spam, shooting fully charged arrows within close to a second after each shot. It also allows you to Fast eat, which does what it sounds like. My suggestion is that Mineverse remove the bow-spam from the 1.15 version on Mineverse. It might not sound like a deal-breaker, but it really ruins the PvP aspect of the game when people just spam bows you, and when you try to pearl to them, or bow-boost you just get shot away, and they keep on spamming. These two things (1.15 bow spam, fast eat) are things that really give people an unfair advantage in different situations. On OP, you can eat a gapple in less than a second, compared to people using 1.8+, that takes them about 2 seconds or so.
Agreed and support, but that being said they also need to fix the huge issues with 1.14 and 1.15 where doors, trapdoors, fences and iron bars are broken. Because this is also unfair on the 1.14 & 1.15 players because they always get glitched inside places where 1.8 players don't.
I'm not sure if this is just 1.14 but I just want to add that the fast gap feature you get on 1.14 version is so dumb. Obviously this is controlled via the actual minecraft version and not mineverse but maybe something can be done. Just thought I'd add this in see what people think. I support this though.
No support to the Bows as it's an aspect of PvP that some people obviously enjoy - Irritating but kinda giving me ArcherPvP vibes. I do however support adding a plugin that might 'nerf/up' the drinking and eating time in 1.12+
Thanks for all the supports. I get that people enjoy it, but it's an unfair advantage in a PvP mode that isn't ArcherPvP. It would be weird of me to complain about something like this if this was ArcherPvP, but it isn't.
I mean yes. They do get the advantage of shooting faster. But they basically lose the ability to bow boost in the trade.
People can bow so fast that I'm stuck in a corner and I'm getting hit so fast that I cant even move...
1.8 PvP, not 1.15 No, but I understand what you mean, and sure they can't bow boost as easily. Let me put it this way; I'd rather have them bow boost easily than having them being able to fast bow, not the other way around. The fact that they can shoot fully charged arrows that fast is just not fair.
I have a feeling what you're asking to be fixed isn't really possible.. it's like on 1.8 you're unable to climb vines without a solid block behind it while on 1.15 you can climb vines even if the vine is only supported by air. It's likely due to the plugin that is used to allow support for 1.8-1.15 so the only solution would probably be to not allow 1.15 clients and I doubt he'd do such a thing like that. Unless the plugin they use fix it it's not up to him probably.
Yeah. I totally understand and agree with what you just wrote. Creating this suggestion I didn't know if it was something that can be fixed. It's more like if they can fix this, please do.
I personally think it'd be possible as you can get 1.8 PvP plugins on a 1.15 server without supporting the Minecraft version 1.8
That would require him to update kitpvp from 1.8 (which is the core version it's currently on) to 1.15 which he probably won't do without some type of poll. And that's not likely to happen as that is how it was done on bedwars, our core version there is 1.12.2 and we added a plugin that reverts the 1.9 pvp changes to 1.8 and people still don't like it. Combat complaints would be way more than just bow spam if they did change it.
Who even plays any version past 1.8.9, honestly microsoft is screwing everything over adding a bunch of stupid items etc. support though
Support. It is bannable as it's clearly unfair advantage but mods won't enforce it. It's like how in Georgie in the US it's illegal to eat fried chicken with ANYTHING other than your hands. It's a rule but it isn't enforced. Also, there is no way to determine if someone is using one of the newer Minecraft versions or if they're using the fast bow hack.
