Ahhh yes, the classic buy an unban from the shop. Except after an unban is bought the server re perm bans because you can only buy an unban for certain things. Hence why this thread was created
I believe an unban all is a great idea... with everything going on right now having more players on your server is a great idea... some which might actually buy upgrades and such.... this 20$ for an unban for certain things will never work... maybe the 5$ upgrades that everyone may purchase in the long term will increase your income then just certain few individuals who buy unbans. I remember playing Mineverse when players after players would be joining. Some players have quit because of that, because their friends got banned for ( stupid ) reasons causing them to leave and join another server... maybe I’m assuming a little here but I do know of a few people who have left because of that reason. ——— Fully Support
That's when they should appeal. If they were banned ages ago and have not appealed a valid ban before, the chances of being unbanned are quite high. The only exception is requested perm bans done by head mods and above. No support for a global unban of course. We don't need to prune the ban database yearly.
Support and here is why: A while back I was part of a community similar to mineverse's. We had our fair share of toxic people, hackers, ddosers, ... At some point the server was starting to die it was at about 50 players peak every day. So the server owner made a poll asking the community wether they should reset bans or not (except for people who charged back). It was decided that they'd reset the bans. I was unbanned finally along with many others. What most of you expect is a swarm of hackers, scammers, ... but the truth is when the unban all happened many people who where ban evading on alts (and hacking on them) started following the rules more as they had learned their lesson by being previously banned. It also brought back many og's which caused players who quit to come back. All the people who cheated on alts at the time started playing legit on their mains again. Clearing the banlist once in a while helps servers, I've seen it. Another example is mmc which clears its banlist every new season. It's a thriving network. I think resetting bans on mineverse will only do good. Ban evading is really easy at the moment so no need to worry about hackers or anything.
