Forums Comments On Ban Threads

Sooooooooooooooo,


Sometimes I see ban threads posted on forums that are hilarious and want to add a comment or two but am unable to comment.

My argument is that people get banned because they broke the rules so maybe some public shaming will do them well?

It certainly will make them think twice before breaking the rules knowing that public shaming could be a possiblity and really its a no harm no foul situation.

Should the comments get out of hand ofc a mod can step in but for the most part its all fun and games.

Also it could attract more attention to forums and boost activity.
Anyone else feel the same way?

Seems like a good idea but might give hackers incentive to hack to be funny. Like the idea behind it tho!

I personally think funny hackers are harmless <3

 

While I agree some are hilarious, I do feel that opening it up to public commenting could be seen as crude or uncalled for. Just because they did something wrong doesn't necessarily mean that they deserve to be publicly shamed- I just think that adding bad onto something that is already inherently bad isn't the greatest idea, but to each their own ;)

I agree can be slightly toxic but also an opportunity to say ty to staff for fixing the problem <3. Also maybe some justice as cheating is a choice and fully avoidable? idk

 

I can see it if there's some boundaries put on what can and can't be said

From a personal standpoint, I think it would be hilarious, but from a "business" standpoint, if you will, it would get out of hand really really quickly.

That's how I feel about it too, but I suppose that's all up to the management team to decide

i support this but in a different way more of to let the accused player explain himself(for reports) and if its a repeat offender i guess some humour would be ok

Ban appeals in like 2014/15 were open for everyone to comment and view but you’d get warned if you weren’t contributing anything useful. While I don’t support being able to comment on them again, being able to view them would be a treat lmao
