So there is a problem that we need to fix. So I was playing infection and this guy named robosmith10 decided to get his alt on and block a button so people can't open the door that his main is in which is basically an unfair advantage to players that can't do that for whatever reason. It's kind of the same as bhopping, it's an unfair advantage to players.
Its not 'literally' the same as bhopping. In one example hes using a hacked client for an unfair advantage. In the other hes using an account to block an entrance/exit. (aka not a hacked client) But sure implement this or whatever
This should not be bannable. If you have an alt you should be able to use it. How is this the same as b hopping? I have no clients installed and I am playing by the rules. (3 mods confirmed this is allowed) Edit: I have stopped doing this since it became part of the rules.
it could be used for something like if there is only 2 players left you and someone else and you log your alt on to target the other player so you can win. Seems unfair to me in most situations. I never said it wasn't allowed I just said that it seems like cheating to me and I think it should be a bannable offense. Kissmybum said it wasn't allowed. The only reason you seem to think it's okay is because you're the one abusing it. Yes true but what I was trying to say is that they are both unfair advantages. I wasn't actually comparing them saying which was worse.
not against the rules to use alts, it is against the rules to use alts for unfair gameplay though. While alts in most situations are alright to use, in this situation it was not. If I was in-game at the time I would have kicked your alt and warned you not to do it again. However I wouldn't say it's serious enough for a ban, i'd say it lies in the same area as block glitching and boosting. After all, this was the whole reason pets in infection were removed so I can't imagine it's ok to do. robo please don't continue w this
