I have seen so many posts requesting a working anti cheat. It's clear there are just as many closet cheaters on Mineverse than blatant cheaters, but it's to the point to where the mods are too inactive to even ban the most blatant of cheaters. To be honest, I feel like ANY anti cheat that will ban for flight or a reach of over 9 blocks will be perfect for at least a temporary anti cheat. As soon as you get targeted by one of these insane cheaters, you are helpless with no way out, guaranteeing the loss of your entire inventory. I just hope Mineverse can implement something simple, easy, and effective like this.
Unless you have more ender-pearls then actual hacker in your inv, you're most likely to make it out alive. However you're right, an anti-cheat is needed or at least more dedicated staff members (not saying that the current stuff members aren't dedicated) but to the point where theres enough staff members to deal with reports consistently within a certain time frame. Even if the suggestions are not to be considered, at least give us an update on what is happening with the anti-cheat or what Noob is trying to do to better the server when it comes to the PvP aspect so everyone stops making the same "WE NEED ANTI CHEAT" suggestion.
Pearls don't even help at this point because cheaters are legit ALLOWED to fly at the speed of light on this server. On top of that, they have things like ESP or Tracers to where they can just follow that one specific person and focus them out. I agree, we deserve an update with news regarding the anti cheat.
It's just ridiculous. They focus me out all the time and I can do nothing about it. Legit any anti cheat that will auto ban for fly would work. On top of that, a reach of over 6+ blocks should be an auto ban aswell. Why not all the time?
Fun fact, if you report actual hackers they'll be banned, who knew! We try to relay what we're doing as much as possible. The anti-cheat is being improved, obviously even with improvements it will never be perfect (as with any anti-cheat) but it should help quite a bit. Both janice and crew are trying to fix it, janice has limited resources and can only do so much but she is very much trying.
I feel like reports are just extra at this point. If someone is closet cheating reports make sense.. but blatant cheats? No auto ban for that? Kind of weird, I don't know. You'd think a PvP server would auto ban for fly / 8 block reach. Exactly. I mean yea.. that is what an actual anti cheat would do.
well yes the anticheat sucks but like youtuber said the staff god limited resources u just gotta give them sometime and just report them but even if they come back on alts just report them again
Don't we all. How do they have limited resources? The only thing they are limited to is not having an anti cheat. They are working on THEIR anti cheat but it is to the point now where they should just implement a WORKING anti cheat and stop trying to do it themselves. As stated earlier, reports are great and effective for closet cheaters, but not at all for blatant cheaters. Why should blatant cheaters not be instantly banned by an anti cheat..?
look i dont know the full details but youtuber said it simon said it and u can tell there having problems plus by the sound of it you just want something real fast and then you and people like you come back and say the same thing so there really is no point to this you gotta wait its not like they can create something overnight and if they do its gonna be crappy but i can change u so whatever
Once again, NOBODY is asking them to create anything. Myself and the community would at least like a temporary anti cheat to stop BLATANT cheaters while Mineverse gets their anti cheat together. If you do not know the details, then this is pointless. You say they cannot create something overnight because it will be 'crappy'... have you SEEN the current anti cheat? There isn't even a point to have the current one added anyway. A WORKING but temporary anti cheat would help in so many ways. Part of me thinks they aren't adding it because on ban logs, mods will only be allowed to ban chat offenses and occasional closet cheaters because this SUPER SIMPLE anti cheat will be doing it all which would be better anyway. Right..
