Support.. all these people saying no support but supporting Khortex's and this other kids application (can't tell whether they're sarcastic or not, that's how much of a joke it is.)
your* Well stated. To be fair Lambo, even if you are trying to make the claim of “giving back to the community” and such, there are much more efficient and simple ways to do so (reports, helpfulness, and general activity outside of the moderation field). I simply also don’t understand your thought process on why you respond to everyone as if they’re trying to challenge you or have to answer to your questioning; you simply look arrogant and like you are trying to belittle these people in a sense. Your simple goal of bettering the community is undermined by the way that you act in such community. You caused such a stir in simply the way you speak, and because of the way you did this, people won’t desire to see the “real you” due to the blockades set up in the fact that you just seem like you want to make us look stupid. Once you understand that those on the moderation team are very far from professional standards, I think this will help you fit in. One grand issue is the fact that we, the community, don’t desire someone that is overly professional. We desire someone that will just chill with us and do their job. I also believe that, like many moderators, you will quickly lose your interest in the position if you receive it after you realize it’s not as glamorous as it seems. I still can’t support you, but good luck on furthering improvements.
I never ever wanted to make anyone look stupid, I simply just wanted to be professional and articulate with my application, nothing more. I have consulted with many staff members in the past about whether I should be proffesional with my application, and I've come to the conclusion that if I ever get staff, I'd be as chill as you want me to be ( even considered to start a live twitch this summer with this server xD ;p). Regardless though, I value your feedback and genuinely want to thank you! ;p <3
Likewise. Good point. -- The fact you attempt to stand tall and look as synthetically professional as possible contradicts your entire application... ... You've applied too early, and although you respond with your copy/paste "I appreciate and value your feedback!" responses, it's blatant you don't. You're looking for supports, and the no supports are just bits of the stew... Mid-typing this, I saw your response: Yikes...
I don't understand why you're here picking every small detail out of what I'm saying and just transforming it into something beyond unnecessary. I simply want to volunteer here at this server and help out.. I sincerely apologize for attempting to be professional about it. If you want to take it personally go ahead.
I've watched this thing grow since 2013, and in those ~6 years, I've also watched a lot of these applications grow. You can always tell which applicant is looking for the position for the position's sake - and who actually cares. The server's on the decline, sadly. The last thing it needs is slightly unready staff. Being a moderator isn't as easy as it looks. Also, the "small" detail isn't exactly small, as it would appear ~~13 other people have noticed it also. It's always a tell someone is overly-eager when they apply in their first 50 posts, and then reapply before hitting 200 posts.
I do have to agree with Lambo that you are kinda harassing this thread... The fact that you are giving him all this attention, and are pointing out his mistakes makes it seem that you see potential in @Lamborghiniii; so maybe he is not ready, but he will be ready in the future.
It’s a tough position, but I’ve volunteered at servers with over 1.2k people playing consistently, and at my time there, I’ve filled over 100 pages of ban logs. I’m more than capable of volunteering at a server with 100 people playing. The only factual reason as to why I want to why I want to volunteer here over the course of my long summer is because I personally enjoyed this server as a 9-10 year old. this may sound cliche, but I’m more than willing to give back what this community gave me as a 9 year old.
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=blockdrop edit: you just want to get someone banned for advertising another server lol
http://blockdrop.org/bans/history.php?uuid=4fad4a04-4fec-3201-96d0-be31d93d2657&staffhistory=1 I looked at it just now, it’s actually 82 pages. You get the point though
Is there a problem appreciating other peoples genuine feedback? I couldn’t care less about whether they gave me a no support or whatnot. I just care about the fact they gave me their honest and genuine feedback.
Alright yall, it's time to let this application go. I understand that some people like winn might just be trying to help but if you are, it's clear he's gotten the point about it.
