I was thinking of a suggestion, that I thought it'll be kind of handy! So, there will be a notification when your name is being said in chat, and you'll here a little ring, not to loud, but just so you can hear it. When you hear this ring you know your name was called in chat!

The name can appear gold / red / whatever color you prefer once you get notified. This can help if you are a staff member because someone can be calling you name for a rule breaker and you can be looking at something else not related to Mineverse. Once you hear this ring you can switch tabs and open up Mineverse to see what's up.

I'd like to know what you guys think!

Hey, so it wouldn't be an app for Mineverse, if someone types your name in-game, for example, "ATruePitato" The name would appear gold when someone said your name / whatever color you want. You'd hear a little ring because someone basically "tagged" you, and you'd check it out.

Support, but i believe there should be a cooldown so bots or annoying people dont sit there and spam it. so a cooldown per person. So a player could have up to like 5 shoutouts per 30 min or something

Thanks for the support! Yes, a cooldown would be nice! Thanks for the suggestion, however, I think it should be like 7-8 shoutouts every 30 minutes for moderators and such because of rule-breakers, etc.

We have the side of yes it will notify players when they could be on the forums or something which would be a good thing to have but Booblyboo made a point about the bots. Even with a timer of this notification being 7-9 times for a staff member that is hella crazy for bots which average around 50 per attack.

Let's do the maths 9x50 = 450. 450 notifications from bots even with the cooldown aren't good. I do support whenever someone says your name in chat your name is highlighted in a colour though. That would seem nice.

 

Support for the highlighted color, I don't want an actual notification though.
