so likE i have a friend that likes anime and high key lowkey i have no idea what it is. literally thought it was for like randoms but my friend hypes it up all the time and i call them weird but now i’m like lowkey interested someone tell me what is anime
What genres of shows do you usually watch? If you don't like violence then don't watch stuff like tokyo ghoul^ (it's also pretty bad/average, aside from animation, compared to other popular shows). imo good show to start off with is Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. It's the highest rated of all time, and has a bit of everything.
Cuz ppl actually watch it. Anime it just glorified advertising for the material they’re based off of. The idea is that people will watch an anime and want to read the source material, which they’d have to buy.
I started watching anime like 6 months ago and OH BOY have I watched a lot since 1. It's worth it, definitely 2. There is nothing wrong about watching anime, at all. Its like if I called someone watching typical netflix shows weird; it's just a different style of showing 3. Anime is just cartoon, pretty much. You could even call Spongebob an anime, but it isn't really. Typically, anime is a Japanese film/television animation generally open to the Japanese community, but is also widely viewed around the world. Now, if you're looking for shows well, I could give a couple animes I've watched and I deem worthy to watch. But again, it depends on the type of genre you're into. Animes: Neon Genesis Evangelion (a classic), Parasyte, Tokyo Ghoul, Steins Gate, One Punch Man There's also anime films/movies, and some are rlly rlly good, like Your Name, and A Silent Voice/The Shape of Voice.
all these dudes are reccing u boring boy shows watch ouran high school host club a silent voice was a good movie tho i cried like 3 times
can't be reccing dem top tier shows as starters. would set the bar way to high and make the rest look like trash.
Avatar: The Last Airbender is basically an american style anime, of course its directed at children but there's no way a child could understand the character development and other smaller details. I've known of many people aged between 18 and 30 who love it.
Death Note is really good too prob the only one I really watched and read all the books. Keep in mind I don’t usually read xD.
