So I think /nick and having nicknames on all game modes/servers would be kinda fun and interesting. Heres why I think so: 1. Everyone can express themselves through a nick 2. Make chat colorful and pop 3. Fun fonts for users even if you don't want a nick to make your user fun looking 4. Yes, I'm aware it may look messy since that's a concern but it may just bring more people into the server if we have some fun with this 5. /realname can solve the messy problem and find out whos who. Chat color. Some reasons kinda, make chat more fun and pop out more than just white text Different ranks have access to different colors and again bring in new players. Neutral, Nicknames can make chat look messy as stated, as for the colour chat certain ranks do have the ability to use this using &d for example, this however only works on certain game modes and would be great to have it as a global feature. P.s. it's global not globel.
No support for nicknames but chat colours are already added, on some game-modes you can only access them through buying mvp or using /me.
True but not everyone can buy a rank and /me is for a certain rank and up. In my opinion, everyone should have /nick but non-ranks cant use fonts only certain bought ranks and up can.

How is having /nick stupid? and yes having certain ranks having /me is understandable since they paid for it depending on the rank. Honestly, it would make more sense if only ranks had chat colors and it would be easier than /me since /me if you don't type in color codes it only talks in purple.
Well, there are a few reasons why having /nick is stupid, first of all, isn't your in-game name already a nickname to begin, and secondly what if two people want the same nick, what will happen? Will they both have the same nick, as i said stupid
Having /nick can add color and/or font or be creative and pick anything. If someone already has a nickname for example "Cake" if someone else tries to get it, it might as well be blocked saying "This nickname is already taken!" Simple. Seen this on other places and its not that hard.
So just like your minecraft username? as i said i don't see the point in it, what if someone has a nickname for example "Horror" then someone joins the server with the ign "Horror" what will happen? And there will be a constant battle for the og nicks, you wont know who is who just by looking at there name anymore
That's why /realname should also be a thing and it tells you who for example who "Horror" really is. I highly doubt anyone will have the same nick as another player... /nick can be anything from just changing user color adding font or both to having a nickname people can call you by. You could (don't know if possible I think it is) hover over a nick in chat and it tells you the real user. Sooner or later people will memorize whos who because no one is gonna be changing every 5 minutes. It just doesn't make sense. There should also be a cooldown for /nick if possible so no one can change their nick every 5 minutes. Any nicks with staff should be banned instantly.
Support for nicknames, they're awesome! Just make sure to add /realname for everyone. Also chat colors are already kind of a thing, it doesn't hurt to put &() before a message.

Remember, Mineverse messages are colored too, and while many users don't find this a problem, what if a new user joins and needs around, if Mineverse was to get more players again, then their going to have to distinguish the colors. 3. This is a hard way to go as it may be confusing if different users are splashing fonts in back-and-forth conversations, also, this + the color is outrageous, that is too much customization, you are having to read the font, and ensure the users are the one typing in the color which is already a problem because of the nickname thing you mentioned. 4. (5) in place, okay, good idea and all, but tablist doesn't pick up nicknames easily, and this has to be highly customized to be able to test with nicknames, and yes, I could be mistaken, but I just find this is a hard-working idea. I'm not one to code Java yet, so I can't confirm this, so I'll give you a little bit of a pass on this one. Worst Case Scenario - You get on, you can't even distinguish the Mineverse console chat's colors because Cyan, Scarlet, Yellow, Light Green, and everyone other color there might be in the customization is all spread around and about. You look at the chat for your friend's username, but you can't even tell who is who, because /realname was never commited to be added, you pay attention to the word colors as like 20 fonts are active for multiple players and you have to form words just out of different sentences made. Sensible Scenario - You get on, you still can't distinguish the Mineverse console chat colors easily, /realname is enacted and you found your friend through the crazy usernames, you look at the fonts and they're outrageous with the distinguish. Best Case Scenario - First of all, it's ranked only, if this already wouldn't be in consideration above in the last two, and 2, that there's not like 20 diverse-colored and font rankers that have these customization commands. ~Thanks if you read all this, I took like 20 minutes to ensure I got all the facts right.
Dude, having colours in chat is rank-specific to give something back to the players who have purchased ranks, to prevent and stop randoms from making the chat disgusting. Also /nick is gross and stupid, it will destroy the chat and give default and even ranked players the ability to annoy anyone easily.
