There's no pleasing everyone with an issue like this. The only real solution is to cater to the largest population of the server possible, which is the United States and Europe. This is exactly what the switch did.

Yes, it can be hard for us Aussies, and even worse for our Kiwi players but I think we have to just deal with it since it improves the game for most of the server.

You live with 800 ping because your wifi is trash.

So instead of making it relatively fair for the whole server, you would rather have it much better for 75% of the server, and terrible for the other 25%? seems a bit unfair to me (and every other AU player).

I never said make it an AU host mate, i just said make it not so far away from australia. changing it back to the old host would be fine. i can handle 150ms but not the 400ms i get now.

So you think giving people with good ping, even better ping is better than giving people with not so good ping already...even worse ping?

How is it unfair? They simple changed the host to benefit west coast USA and east coast and all/most of Europe?? I don’t see how it’s unfair, there is 5-7 AU players on a day maybe less so making a thread like this was simply pointless, nex I get along with you well man but sorry to say this isn’t pointless.

I’d like to add also, benefitting 75% of the server over 25% is what is keeping most people here, you would have them switch it so it’s beneficial to you and not the other 75%? Now that would be unfair.

People in the EU had horrendous ping already, it’s only changed by the slightest, out of all the eu players I have one of the best pings idk why but not many other eu’s have as low as me.

Ok, all Nex is saying is that we had decent ping before the new host, i had 250 sometimes went to 200, now i have 350, i havn't seen a big ping difference bigger then Australians, US will be fine with the old host, eu will be fine with it and Australians would be fine with it, i dont see why they changed it

EU was getting 160-220 before hand, there isn’t many Australians on this server which is a downside to you guys trying to get the host changed but many have benefitted to this host so I doubt it will be changed

The host was originally best for West Coast USA, they moved it in between the East and West coast of the USA the EU benefitted as it is closer.

Not everyone, Australians you’re on about, everyone who was in the US and EU are happy with the new host, they changed the host to benefit the countinents that’re keeping the server alive in this it is America and Europe so do not say “everyone” will be happy as everyone will not be.

Before the switch, a lot of EU players had over 200 ping. Every EU player was 4 baring. Now we get 100ish.
Secondly, most of the players on this server are actually from the UK, well back when I was active they were. I'd play here about 12 hours a day and most other people I was online with other than at 3am were UK. Even early in the morning for me when it's the peak time for AU players there were still more EU people online. I don't know where people are getting their numbers from above but about 50% is EU about 40% NA(About 10%west coast and 30%east) and 10% AU/other.

The change didn't really affect people in NA much as most people only had a 30-50ms change which isn't noticeable, we only notice a change in gameplay if you experience a 100+ ms change. This switch made it better for 70% of players on mineverse. The owners should make changes that give an advantage to the majority of the server.
