Hello guys, It’s ReCreateThis here, I’m here to welcome you guys my moderator application! I have been on the forums since 2014 and have been playing 2014, I am chill guy who just wants to have fun and I am a PC gamer, I play games like games like Minecraft (obviously,) Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and more. My current timezone is the AEST or GMT+10.

I live in ACT, Australia.

English is my first language and I can understand a good amount of Japanese since I’m taking up the subject.


✤Do you have 2FA enabled? Yes/No✤
I currently have 2FA enabled right now. Obviously if I didn't have 2FA on, It would be easier to get into my profile.


✤Do you have the necessary means of capturing evidence? (i.e. recording software, screenshots, etc)✤ Yes I do have ways to capture those who break the rules. Gyazo, OBS and of course the Minecraft screenshotting system that comes with the game.


✤Why do you think you should become a mod?✤
I think I should become a moderator is because I usually see those who bypass the swearing filter, disrespect and worst of all hacking on other servers. I usually see rule breakers and when I have to report that person and wait for a moderator to warn/punish that person. I feel that if I become a moderator, I can deal with rule breakers more efficiently than before. I also have seen that not many moderators are active on the servers that I play and they usually stay for about 2-5 minutes tops. I feel that if I become a moderator, I can watch over the servers when some moderators are not since I also live in another time zone.


✤How long can you be active on the server everyday?✤
I can be active at the following times.
Weekdays: 3-5 hrs and sometimes more.
Weekends: Extremely long sessions lasting from 6-10 hours and sometimes more.
Public Holidays: Same with the weekends.
I believe it helps a lot to be online while staff are not.


✤How long have you been playing Mineverse?✤
In 2013, I heard about this server from a dear friend of mine, so I decided to play on it. At the time I didn’t think much of it. But during 2014 (I'm pretty sure) joined the forums and started to play and here I am.


✤Have you ever been banned in the past? (Forums & In-game)✤
Sadly I have been banned twice in-game, once for auction scamming and the other for hacking on the server I play on the most. Prison. It’s kind of ironic that I have broken the rules twice and now I want to become a moderator on this server. I have learn from my past mistakes to help me become the person that I am now. ✤Do you have any past experience as a moderator?✤
No, but I have been an Admin on a server that had been shutdown sometime in early 2014.

✤Do you meet all Mineverse's requirements for staff listed below?✤ Yes/No

✤Do you have 50 Post Count?✤ Yes I have over 50 posts.

✤Do you have Two Factor Authentication set up?✤ I already have 2FA set up.

✤Have you had 2 Weeks registered on the Mineverse forums?✤ Yes and I have been registered since 2015.

I have a now have an old Skype account that I recovered and I will be using but not as frequently, please message me on Discord since I use it more.

The following are some traits that I believe would aid in becoming a Moderator.


✪I am a Fast Typer✪
I believe that if moderator has the ability to type fast, they can respond to situations very quickly that are happening in game or maybe respond to a report quickly and efficiently.


✪I am a Helpful Person✪
Whenever any player asks for help, 80% of the time I will respond to them (unless I am AFK cause I'm doing something else) and I will be willing to help anyone who needs it.

✪I am Active✪
Since this server is my main that I play on, I do whatever I can to help the server from what I can do (Reporting hackers and those who break the rules.) I can stay online for long hours and play mineverse. I also play on KitPvP and OP Prison but not as much as I did before, so most people don't recognize me on those two servers but I am well known on prison. Whenever there is a hacker I am motivated to try to report them (I honestly don't know why.)

✪I have a Good Knowledge on Hacks✪
Unfortunately, I used to hack and was unfortunately banned for it, but using my knowledge on them I believe I can use it for good, my reason why is because I can easily identify those who hack and specifically which hacks they are using, since I had played on a server with those who hack.

✪I have a knowledge on most Commands used for Moderation✪
Thanks to my experience as an Administrator on another server, I know many commands such as: /ban, /tempban, /ban-ip, /kick, /mute etc. If there are any other commands that I should know in the situation that I become a moderator, I am willing to learn from any past/current staff members.

✪I am a Calm, Down to earth Person and I am Friendly✪
Whenever someone tries to provoke me or a situation that can possibly anger me, I will mostly react calmly and maturely no matter the situation. I will never insult somebody with the intention to hurt/bully, if I say something mean its usually just banter.

Off-topic but need to be said not everybody likes to use Skype due to its so easy for someone to take your IP address through Skype just by messaging them, hence why Discord is used because it’s safer.

• Been playing Mineverse for a long time now
• Nice, kind, friendly, respectable person and overall very mature
• Beneficial timezones

Areas for improvements:

• You just came back from a break, get to know the community better
• Try do more reports, you have did some but the more the better to upgrade your chances
• You just created an introduction

Overall, I wish you the very best of luck, once you improve on some of these things you will have my full support!

What does this have to do with being a moderator applicant?

 

I mean as one of my points stated before, get to know the community better, get to meet people instead of jumping into making a moderator application, this is not meaning that he shouldn't of made the application just to get too see more of Mineverse.

Just saying that your other points prove yourself wrong. If he's "Been playing Mineverse for a long time now" and "Can be active for a really long time period" wouldn't he know the community and be known by them?

Many people have become moderator without knowing the community or having the community know them. It isn't a requirement and it shouldn't be a reason for you to not support them. You're pretty much supporting the stereotype that only popular/well-known people in the community can become mod, which is not true.

 

Okay, so when I had quoted that he had been playing Mineverse for a long time it was because he had mentioned him being playing Mineverse from back 2013, meaning that he has been playing for a long time just not recently, same thing with "Can be active for a really long time period" he had also mentioned in his application that he is able to be playing Mineverse for up to 10 hours on weekends, sorry if you had took this the wrong way, when saying that he can be active doesn't mean everyone should of known him or seen him in game before, I'm taking he has only been back for maybe 1-3 days which is up to 3-5 hours of gameplay each day, this doesn't mean that he is going to see all the people who plays Mineverse in that time.

Next, I do know for a fact that some people have became moderator before without being "popular" in game, I know that this isn't a requirement but I was giving him some advice which I didn't state very well, I'm not trying to support the fact that only "popular" people should only become a mod, I'm trying to say that if he got to know the community more better then people would get more of a aspect of what type of a person he is.
