I don't have a clear favorite, but here are a few of the book series that I like. (In order of how I read them.) 1. Inheritance: Deals more with a mix of magic and swordplay, still love it. https://www.goodreads.com/series/44866-the-inheritance-cycle Don't read anything past Inheritance Book#4 cuz the rest is garbage extra books 2. Little Brother: More for tech nerds, but still good. https://www.goodreads.com/series/81824-little-brother I have not read Lawful Interception yet, not sure if it is in the series. 3. Shadowdance: Lots of killings and mention of sex, more for mature readers. Read at your own risk. I still like it, it focuses mainly on swordplay and takes place mostly in a city. https://www.goodreads.com/series/61310-shadowdance Anything that starts with "A Dance Of" is part of the series, the rest are extra. 4. Ranger's Apprentice: More of an outdoorsy version of Shadowdance, less graphic, but still a fun read, probably close to my fav. https://www.goodreads.com/series/43436-ranger-s-apprentice I'm only starting this myself, so I have no idea what books are extra. Have Fun Reading!
The Blackthorn Key Series The Selection The Lunar Chronicles Fablehaven The Candy Shop War Swindle Those are all VERY good series. I love to read : ))
ok so this is my book nerd side but I actually love Rangers Apprentice sm I want them to make movies so bad im reading a series at the moment, it's sorta like magical but not overly magical like most fantasy books. https://www.goodreads.com/series/63286-healer and even though this is super mainstream id recommend reading Divergent. the first book is super good but after that they kind of go down hill but you can keep reading on if you'd like. Also all the maze runner books are good and I can proudly say that i read them all a good 1-2 year before the movies came out. another really good series by James Dashner that hasn't really gotten as much spotlight as The Maze runner is the mortality doctrine series http://www.jamesdashner.com/the-mortality-doctrine-series/ it's got the same sci-fi feel as the maze runner and I really enjoyed reading it the next one's still ongoing with 2 out of 3 books having been released so far but I really enjoyed the first two. https://www.goodreads.com/series/93040-teardrop would definitely recommend I'll be sure to add more books as they come back to me
I LOVE the Monument 14 trilogy and all the grown up Jacqueline Wilson books! I'll pretty much read anything about teenagers, school life, those dear diary kinda books and made up stuff that'll happen in the future.
I read the first maze runner and watched all the movies, but the books just weren’t that interesting. Thanks for some ideas of books to read, I’m always trying to find new ones.
Yeah that would be interesting but it doesn't look like the are talking in English the whole time, because it just sounds like Temujai and other languages translated to english to read, so it would be hard to keep realistic and make a movie out of. I will be sure to check them out! I don't like the divergent books purely because they try to make a love story the main part of the book and I really don't even bother with that really. I would prefer something a little less main plot focused more like Delysia and Haern in the shadowdance books(ya'll should really read that) or something like Alyss and Will in Ranger's Apprentice, although if that relationship gets anywhere I don't know as I only 4 books in. I'm a post apocalyptic person too, but I prefer swordplay over school life and stuff, but to each their own Also @Bailey I'm sorry but I'm not sure my school has all of that, but I'll look for that.
I just finished the 10th book in the series and I think the movies would be interesting but expensive but they should try anyways, and I'm loving the part in the series I'm at. I think I may read the following Brotherband chronicles as well. Also bump.
ok so i'm no book worm but i'm surprised the hunger games series hasn't been mentioned idk i liked it a lot, and i think the movies did a good job
