Forums Possible way to fix the "Double Posting" situation

I was looking through XenForo's resources forum today and I found this. This is a plugin that fixes "Double Postings" and merges them into each other.

However, I recommend not adding this to moderators, sr-moderators and head-moderators as it could mess some things up.

Ban Logs, Reports, Appeals, etc.

If you make a thread and being the first one to comment on it.

 

There will be a time limit for it to combine, and I do not believe if you comment, the post doesn't combine with the main thread.

@lost 's statement is correct, this would have to be "disabled" for all staff. Furthermore what about my ban log and other ex-staff ban logs? My thread is a string if several hundred consecutive replies and uh I'd rather not lose 500-700 messages (for other's even more). There is also the issue that finding evidence for the ban of a recently resigned/demoted staff member could prove difficult if their ban log thread was combined.
